The kingdom is not yet totally abandoned and as what I have said earlier, there are two people left inside. The king’s daughter and the marksman of the West, Ravine and Achren. The sun is still alive at that moment but it is ready to sleep. Both left the others because of the emerged fight between Peter Chevrius and a guard. Achren did the first step to ask Ravine and this is due to his own curiousness and little fear. Both were startled as they heard the sound of frightful noise from the outside room so after the sound was gone, they left the daughter’s room and checked whatever happened to the castle and its people.
“Alone.”
“What?” Ravine asked
“We are now alone here. The whole kingdom is being abandoned!” Achren answered. Silence came to the two. They searched the whole kingdom to confirm that it is empty. During their search, they also looked for clues that may help them to know what really happened and to track where King Vicerses was taken into. Livelegnas are known to be very intelligent but not really wise. They thought that they have left the hidden kingdom empty and did not search in every room however, they left a single clue in which Ravine saw and took.
“Achren!” The marksman heard the call so he rushed towards the castle’s library (located at the castle’s underground) where the lady is waiting from him and wherein the call came from as well.
“What did you find?”
“Here” she handed what she saw which appears to be a parchment. Achren grabbed it and it’s a small piece in which it is very sealed and magical for dark smoke is coming from it. The two focused on the smoke in which it is forming something (or letterings to be more specific). Finally, the dark smoked revealed its message:
“The hidden kingdom shall forever be concealed.”
“The kingdom is already concealed” the daughter said.
“Not forever.”
“What do you mean Achren?”
“This should be a message from the livelegnas and I can feel it based on the dark mist and this message. It means something that only they can understand.”
“What can you think of its hidden message?”
“This could mean your nation’s end. They might intend to kill you all or to use you as their weapons.”
This silenced Ravine but Achren sighed. The silence ended after a minute for Ravine began to speak and her exact words are “Not if we counter their plans.” The marksman was surprised and asked the lady her plan against the enemies.
“Come with me” and so, the two walked away from that part of the library (which is the entrance so meaning, they just entered the library). Ravine braought Achren to the very end of the library (the walls and they just walked straight from the gate, these walls are at the very end of the library from the gate) however, it was a little long walk.
As they have reached the walls, the lady suggested the marksman to stand back and be firm. Ravine made a distance from the edge and she took her bow and two arrows aiming the upper head part of the bookshelf (the edge’s walls have a bookshelf). She focused her aim and released the two arrows which hit the wall at the same time but the two didn’t just hit it and both were somewhat being inserted into some holes until the walls ate them. As that happened, the bookshelf (in addition to its description, it is a big lengthy bookshelf in which it is capable of carrying a hundred books in a single row and its height is merely as tall as its length, in fact this is the only even bookshelf in the library) opened itself like a two way door but don’t worry book lovers for its separation did not affect the books. After which, the edge showed another room which is dark inside of course.
Achren let Ravine to get in first and as both finally entered, the bookshelf sealed the room leaving a total darkness but the torches began to light up and the shape of the room is being revealed as a big round room and at the very middle, there is a round table that contains water. The outer core of the room has bookshelves full of books, armours from soldiers and warriors along with weapons such as swords, daggers and more, there are also sort of things inside that are likely personal things: parchments, letters, scrolls, crowns, jewelleries, cloths and more. These are all at the walls that in fact surrounds the whole room. At the upper side or near ceiling, paintings surround it. Paintings of great battles of the Shraurds and such other stuff like a concept of the beginning of Arhaenia, the Old Tale and the four kingdoms. These paintings are all concept arts and people in there have blank faces. As for the ceiling, it is a concrete one but there lies the timeline of great events of Shraurds’ life and kingdom: battles, kings, reign, heirs, lost, successes and much more are at their timeline.
The inner core of the room has a stage and a small round table on the very core (center) of it that has water (it is like a small wishing well but there is no statue nor water effects, it is just a round table with water on it). The inner core is surrounded by simple pillars that have no drawings or paintings on it or designs, just the torches that are facing the inner core.
At this time, both entered the inner core of the room and faced the round table with water. “Liquaem” Achren said. The daughter said that he is right and was amazed that he was able to read the symbols on the table but the she explained what does that mean,
“The Liquaem is a sacred round table that has water on it that we also call it sometimes as ‘The Water of the Mind’ which is used to show memories from the past, present or even in the future. First, this can show us any kind of memory and you must be wondering how it can show the future, that is because it only shows what we think or believe however, it shows us the reality as well by showing us what happened from the past that may give us clues on such cases. Furthermore, we can also see memories that are not ours and that is what makes this special and really worth it. It can also show us memories of other people, any people in fact. Also, this can show us the origin of an item, how it was made, its life and its possessors.”
“But how does this Liquaem work?” the marksman asked.
“Simple” Ravine began while Achren is listening “First, choose any item. For example, I will choose my dagger here” she then drew her dagger and holds it “Next is to place the item, for mine this dagger, then put it into the water. The water from the table will start to pour after 5 seconds from the time that you put the desired item. As the water is overflowing, it will go straight to the pillars and it will form a shield or barrier on the outside while a mirror on the inside. The flames on the torches at the pillars will die as the water touches them. The water in the inner part will form a big mirror which is like a screen and this said screen will show us the history and memory of this dagger of mine. In addition, this stage will show the memory of the item by making us feel that we are a part and in that very moment of the memory.”
The screen began to show images on how the dagger was made and its owners from the past up to the present.
