Chapter 2- The Secret

"Oh, looks like your home, sis." Yuyu says as she stares at me with my foot in my hole.

"What's with this trap Yuyu?!" I ask her

"I accidentally put my foot through it earlier. Seems like the floorboard is rotten" she responded blankly.

"So you though it would be wise to hide it under a piece of newspaper?" I question.

Yuyu chuckles, "you fell in it as planned."

"You did not plan it!" I say as she goes back into the kitchen, "didn't you get hurt?"

"..."

"Yuyu?" I ask

She slowly opens the door again to stare at me blankly, and then closing it again

"Seems like you're ok..."

I start to walk upstairs to my mom's room to see how her day was. I knock on the door asking for permission to enter, "Mom?" I walk into the room to see her painting on a large canvas.

"Oh, Mimi?" my mom said after she coughed.

I went next to her to see what she was working on. She had almost finished painting an ocean with two people holding hands watching, the sunset. I turned to her and looked at her pale appearance, "You had night shift at the hospital right? You don't actually have a strong body now, so you shouldn't overwork yourself." I say. 

"It's ok dear, I don't want to put all the burden on you." She says smiling softly at me, "I have to shape up as well, you know?"

"If only Dad hadn't disappeared on us leaving a debt." Yuyu suddenly appeared and said. 

"T-that wasn't necessary, Yuyu." I said stunned.

Yuyu then turned to me, "Oh, there was a call from the chief of where you work. Apparently one of the workers can't come, so she wants you to take her place."

"Oh, really? Then I have to leave now," I say as I start heading downstairs, " Why didn't you tell me earlier?! Woah... I almost fell in my hole again."

Yuyu came downstairs and handed me something, "Oh, sis, could you drop this in the postbox while you're out?" I grab it as I put my cap on my head. 

"Another prize contest?" I ask

"Thanks," She responded, then I raced out the door while saying goodbye to my mom.

"Oh no! The gate fell again!" I yelled.

"We're poor, but sis definitely needs to calm down." Yuyu said to herself.

-At the Cafe-

"Welcome home, master!" I say as a customer comes in. My co-worker Ji-Eun then takes him to a table nearby.

"Mimi-ah" Chief says as she taps my shoulder, "Sorry for asking you to take over so suddenly." I shake my head saying it's fine.

"I have various expenses I need to pay this month, so it's a good opportunity." I smile at chief.

"Oh, Mimi." A customer calls, "Can I have a Moe Moe omelet rice?"

"I'll bring one right away, master." I responded. 

-After shift-

I walk out of the staff entrance to put the trash out, I can never get used to this place no matter how long I've worked here. The stench rises to my nose and I start coughing violently. I don't have much free time because of student council work, and on top of that I need to keep my grades up. But I need a high paying job like this to pay the debt my dad owes, but... If someone from school were to see me like this...

"Wow," someone said, "what a surprise." I stared in shock at the person talking to me. "If it isn't the prez"
