Bleeding heart

Day 1

Clementine woke up early, but it was a long time ago since she slept so well. She decided to get up early and make some food for A.J, she still couldn't understand that he was back, she even thought he was dead at one point. She grabbed some canned food from one shelf, cooking wasn't one of her strong sides, but at least she had to try. Clementine put the food into a pan and warmed it up, she somehow thought it would taste better warm, suddenly A.J came walking into the kitchen. He looked tired and quickly went over to the couch and sat down quietly. "Good morning," Clementine said and smiled. A.J just made a sound then went back to being silent. It was easy to draw the conclusion he wasn't a morning person either, she remembered when she was in the same age, her parents almost needed to drag her out of bed. Clementine put the food on the table in front of him and gave him a nod that he should eat which he did with a good appetite. A.J smiled and said, "thank you". Clementine couldn't help but feel a bit proud of herself for being able to make some food that he liked.

Clementine was cleaning up in the kitchen, but then she heard a knock on the door. Clementine opened the door and saw Negan. "Negan please come in" Clementine quickly said. Negan looked a bit upset.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"I have some bad news, Y/N has been taking hostage....I'm sorry" Negan responded.

"What??!!!!" Clementine outbursted, A.J jumped from the couch.

"How is that even possible?!! I thought he/she was out with those guys from the bar!!!" Clementine yelled.

"He was, it wasn't an official assignment coming from me, apparently he went with two of my scouts, they were out to collect information about what kind of defense they have before we attack them, Alexander and Jason were able to get back here, Y/N was supposed to meet up with them, but he/she never did... I'm sorry" Negan said.

"Fuck!!! What's your plan now? We need to save him/her fast before anything happens!!!!" Clementine yelled.

"I'm sorry, but we need to wait, we can't just send our soldiers out there without any plan and with the kind of arsenal they have, we won't even be able to get in there alive" he responded.

"You just expect me to sit here and wait for you to come up with a plan, while Y/N is being tortured or worse?!?!?!?!"

"I'm sorry Clementine, but we can't, not right now... and you are not authorized to do any rescue mission yourself, because then you are compromising this community and our future attack, I hope you understand that.

Clementine turned around and punched into a wall and closed her eyes.

"I know you are both pissed and sad Clementine," Negan said concerned.

"If you don't have any ideas on how to fix this, then you can leave!!" Clementine responded with an angry tone.

Negan left the apartment, Clementine nervously started walking around in the apartment. A.J came up to her, "Clem what's wrong?" He asked. "I'm sorry for that A.J, it's just.... my uhm friend has gotten captured by some guys.... and Negan didn't want to help him. Clementine took a deep breath, she really didn't want to say what she was thinking. Clementine sat down on her knees in front of him, "A.J I may have to leave you.. just for a little while". "What?! Why?" A.J yelled. "I need to rescue my friend, everything is dangerous out there and I can't risk losing you...." Clementine said with a sad voice. "So you rather leave me here? What if something were to happen here, who will keep me safe then?!" A.J yelled. "I will talk to Lilly, she is a good friend of mine, she will keep you safe..." Clementine answered. "Please can't I come with you?" A.J pleaded that's when Clementine remembered her sitting on the stairs in that abandoned house saying the exact same thing to Lee, of course, she knew how it felt to be left behind and don't know if Lee ever was coming back again.

Clementine sighed, "fine you can come with me, but you have to stay close and always listen to me... okay?" She asked.

"I promise" he responded.

"Okay good.. now, first of all, we need some weapons, but I have no clue where the damn armory is," Clementine said.

"I know where it is.. it's in a basement, but it's usually heavily guarded, I can show you where". 

Y/N POV:

I woke up, screaming. The pain I felt is not even possible to explain, I felt something going trough my kneecap but I was afraid to see what. My head was drifting in and out of consciousness.

"Now... you will tell me where you come from or else this will get a lot worse, you see I've got bigger drills than this" Olivia said with a big smile

"I'll tell you!!" Y/N screamed from the top of his/her lungs.
