Clementine sat down and just stared out at the ocean, everything was quiet.
"Clementine?" a voice was heard. Clementine didn't answer.
"Are you alright?", it was Y/N.
"Please, come here, sit next to me," Clementine said softly, Y/N sat down next to her.
Clementine kept staring out over the ocean, suddenly she said, "Y/N I don't know what to do... I feel so empty".
"I don't know Clementine, I can't even imagine how it feels other than it must be terrible for you". Y/N said while looking at her.
"Javier, my friend I was with before, said before I left looking for A.J, that if I find him that I should leave him where he is if he is happy. Well, he is happy, I can't force him to be with me, he must have thought I was crazy to say I was his mother" Clementine said and closed her eyes.
"Clementine...." Y/N said and put his/her around her and pulled her closer, Clementine quickly rested her head on Y/N.s shoulder.
"How am I suppose to carry on without him? I tried so hard to keep him safe, I love him so much Y/N..."
"I know, but you kept him safe and he is safe now, you did what you could and he is safe, you are a good mother Clementine," Y/N said
"I lost him.."
"No he was taking from you, how were you supposed to fend off a whole group? You did what you could, but still, in the end, you never stopped searching for him, you made sure he was okay, that's what a mother does"
"It feels like everything is against me, I've got Lee killed, I've got Kenny killed and I even lost A.J. There really is nothing else than hopelessness. It's probably just a matter of time before I get you killed too, or you leave me" Clementine said with a sad voice.
"............." Y/N stayed quiet. He/she just kept holding his/her arm around her
Y/N kissed her on the cheek, stood up and reached her the hand, "we should get inside the apartment, please come with me" he/she said and smiled.
Clementine smiled back and stood up soon after, "Y/N... please call me Clem," she said, then they headed into the community once again. When they got to the apartment, Y/N opened the door. It was pitch black inside, Clementine quickly sat down on the couch with a large sigh. Y/N went around in the apartment and turned on all the lights. "Clem! You want anything to eat? There are a lot of canned food in here." "No thanks... I'm fine" she yelled back. Y/N grabbed two cans anyway and sat down next to her on the couch. "I know you are sad... Clem.. but you still need to eat, I'm not taking a no for an answer. Eat..". Clementine grabbed the can and started eating and so did Y/N. After a few minutes of talking and eating, Clementine sat down the can on the table and snuggled up to Y/N, she rested her head on Y/N chest and Y/N pressed his/her jaw against her head, they sat like that for a while in silence.
