Chapter 1- Seirin

"Ne, Tetsu-kun, what club are you joining in?" I asked him as I ran my fingers through my dark brown hair. I blinked my golden brown eyes as I waited for his answer.

"At the basketball club, Misaki-chan," he answered simply. "How about you?" he asked.

"I'm not sure.. I want to join the basketball club too, you know, but I can't. I'm pretty sure you know why," I answered honestly.

"You can't avoid them forever, Misaki-chan. Besides, you'll see them wether you like it or not," he said. I just sighed. As much as I want to disagree with him, I can't because he's right. "What club do you want to join, anyway?" he asked.

"Of course I want to join the basketball club," I replied like it's the most obvious thing in the world.

"Then why aren't you going to join them? You're being a coward, Misaki-chan," I sighed at him. I closed my eyes briefly and gazed at his big blue eyes.

"Fine. I'm going to join," he gave me a small smile before walking. "Ne, Tetsu-kun! I'm going to call someone, ok? Wait for me!" I said. He nodded so I made my way towards the garden and fished my phone out of my pocket. I called my cousin and waited for her to pick up.

"Misa-chan! I missed you! How're you? How's Tetsu-kun? I really want to enter Seirin with the both of you but you guys know I can't leave Dai-chan alone. He might do something bad when I'm not around," she said the last part sadly.

"It's ok, Satsu. I bet you're going to like it there. How's your stay there, by the way?"

"We're ok here, Misa-chan. Can I sleep at your house on Saturday? I really miss you, my dearest cousin! Anyway, Dai-chan's still the same. He keeps on skipping classes and he isn't doing his homeworks!" she complained making me chuckle.

"Of course he won't do homeworks. He's Aomine Daiki for Pete's sake," I replied.

"I know ri--

Ne, Satsuki! Who're you talking to?

None of your business!" I heard her said. And I also heard Daiki at the background and that made my body tense.

"Anyway, Mis--Hey, Ahomine-kun! Give me back my phone!" I heard Satsuki scream. My eyes narrowed in confusion. What is happening? My question was answered when I heard a voice from the other line. "Misaki? Is this you?"

I missed his voice. Hey, not in a romantic way. He's like my brother. I've been trying to avoid him, them, since I can't remember and no one tried enough to talk to me. So it wasn't that much of a struggle. I don't know if it made me feel worse or better though.

"Dai-chan.." I muttered.

"Misaki," his voice sounded like he was taken aback. "I haven't heard your voice for a while." he said. "I mean.. you left.. Before the winter cup.. Why?" he asked.

"Dai-chan.. As much as I want to talk to you, I, uh, have important things to do. Gomen ne."

"Misak-" I didn't let him finish and pressed the end button. I sighed. I continued to walk and searched for Tetsu, which is not hard for me. Seriously, I won't believe you if you'll tell me that he lacks presence. He's just small. And skinny. And pale. So.. yeah.

His misdirection works on me for only 3min unlike the others that takes up to 15 to 20min or more. At least that was what happened the last time we played which was a few years ago.

I was looking at the other way when I bumped into a stranger. I look up only to see an attractive guy with black hair and deep black eyes.

"Gomen." I said as I bow my head.
