My Ray

So, I officially began writing on watty since March of 2014, before I was just a reader. Once I branched off into having conversations with others, I noticed an interesting conversation happening between David (bookworm_D) and a person using the username Pay_Ray. I can't remember what it was about but it intrigued me enough to click on her icon and check out her profile.

I was happy and relieved that she read the same stuff I was into and that she followed some of the same people I did. But I was kinda scared to start a conversation with this person... She didn't know me and I couldn't act like I knew her, because I didn't. But I wanted to socialize and she seemed really fun to talk to, so I did the only thing I could think of at the moment.

I read her works.

Before writing I was always a silent reader. My phone was a piece of shit so I couldn't vote or comment, only read. So this time around I could finally do those things so I was especially happy because...holy cheese and crackers, this chick could write her ass off. Her flow was flawless with the perfect amount of an sexy overdose...is that contradictory? When I read some of her one shots, I had to keep peeking over my shoulder to check if I was still alone because I was fan girling like a loon. That's when you know a book is good!

I left a comment and she is usually good with responding to them so when she did, I decided to follow her to keep up with her updates, she just seemed so nice. It was then that I felt comfortable enough to leave common pleasantries on her message board. She was very welcoming.

I soon realized she's the type of person that converses with imagery. She doesn't merely say, " hello. How r u today." No, no, no. She would write something like, "Hello. *walks over and sits next to you, pulling you in a hug* Tell me about your day." I noticed a lot of people do that, but Ray was one of the first ones I met that made it seem so natural. When talking with her, I wouldn't even notice an hour had past.

She makes me smile constantly and loves to joke around and talk to new people. She isn't egotistical about how many reads she gets, which is a lot, or how many votes or followers she gets, which is a whole lot, even though she is incredibly talented. She's the kind of wattpader that makes the socializing part of watty so much fun. Please don't be afraid to look her up. She's freakin' awesome.

Another thing is, she is always cheering people on and supporting them. She is a beautiful person and is constantly shining through her encouraging words she so willingly gives to anyone in doubt of themselves or works. She is playful, considerate, kind and my friend.

She is why I count my blessings.
