Counting my blessings

Do you know that feeling where a friend is feeling like utter shit and you want to do or say anything to make them feel better or loved? You try in the words you write, pouring all your emotions and true thoughts into your words, hoping your friend, even though you can't see them, can know that you are genuinely concerned with their well being? That you're the person they can count on?

I think Ree does that perfectly.

I discovered this fantastic person as I was going to visit David in his page. They were talking and I was curious to see who she was so we made small talk. And she turned out the be one of the most supportive people I ever had the pleasure to meet. She is always encouraging fellow writers to continue on and is always so encouraging. She's he kind of gal that'll root for you until the end, be there when you need her and lend you a shoulder to cry on, which I've done once or twice.

And while she reads so many things on watty, she is humble to a fault when it comes to her hidden talents. Being as she is always there for her friends, real life and here too, when she wrote the one poem on her page, the only work posted there...I think I can speak for many when I say she blew us away. It was such a wonderful piece, I left me quite breathless...and yet she never brags or expects anything...she is just pleased people read it. A lot of writers are like that, but Ree...I dunno..she is something special. She is a beacon of light should you ever be lost in a sea of darkness. And I've only known one other person like that so that is extremely rare to me and so very precious.

I treasure my friendship with her and will never take this beautiful person for granted.

She is why I count my blessings.
