Harper P.O.V

He left. He just nodded his head at me and left. I just told him I loved him and he nodded his head. I looked down at the ground, hot tears burning my face.
I thought he would have at least said something even if it wasn't the four words I wanted to hear.
Ben appeared next to me, his top covered in Alex's blood.

"Are you okay?"  He asked. I just kept looking at the ground. I had just exposed myself to Jackson by doing the one thing I thought I would never do and he left.
I nodded towards Ben before heading back inside to go and unpack the boxes in my room.

It had been an hour since Alex had appeared and my body was numb still with the thought that Jackson didn't love me.  I had left the boxes packed I didn't have the strength to unpack. I was lying on my bed in the door letting the silence wash over my senses.
It began to get dark and the moon was beginning to rise.  I had every intention of staying in my bed but a knock at the door changed my plans. I groaned forcing myself off of my bed heading towards the door, flinging it open, my eyes red from crying my body aching from being in the same position for so long.
My eyes widened in shock at the person at the door.

"What are you doing here?" Silence. I raised my eyebrow hoping that promoted an answer from the visitor. Eventually, they decided to speak.
"Pack meeting. Alpha wants everyone in the ballroom now."
I nodded at Mellissa who know delivered messages. I closed the door behind me as I left and followed Melissa.

I followed her mindlessly until we entered a corridor that was pitch black. My senses becoming alert with the change in lighting.
"Melissa, what is going on?" There was no reply. I carried on walking forward under the assumption Melissa had left me. Fantastic.
I walked till I reached the lower level door to the ballroom, pushing open the door I excepted there to be a room full with staff and members of the pack, but the ballroom was empty and dark.

"Hello," I shouted but my voice just echoed back. I was about to turn and leave but lights from the side of the ballroom that was tucked away caught my attention.  I walked toward the light and was amazed by an arrow made out of white candle pointing towards the exiting leading the ballroom gardens.
The garden was covered in floating candles creating a path for me to follow.

I followed the candle letting them lead me to whatever was at the end. I had never been this far into the garden before and I was amazed by its beauty.  I followed the path that was guiding the way leading to a beautiful white bandstand with seat dotted around. The orchestra from the ball was playing a beautiful song, a circle of rose petals surrounded the band. I stopped for a moment and listened to the music, resting my shoulder against one of the pillars.  The music finally stopped sending me following the path again further into the gardens.

Another floating arrow of candles sent to in the right direction, "what is going on?" I whispered to myself.

Eventually, the candles stop meaning I was alone in the middle of a garden I was not familiar with.

I breathed out, my breath visible in the cold air. I looked around for a small sign of movement but there was none.
In the distance, I could hear the music starting from the orchestra again getting louder.

The candles suddenly re-lit all at once taking me by surprise.

"Harp." His voice sent shivers down my spine. I turned to face him confused even more about what was going on. I opened my mouth to speak but Jackson stopped me before I could start.

"I'm sorry Harper, I should not have overreacted the way I did. Harper, for years I have waited for you, waited to call you mine. I never thought you would even make you happy once you knew about my past, about what I do. I have waited for the day to ask you to officially be my Luna, to be my queen.  What happened earlier it surprise me, I didn't mean to-"

I stopped him before he could finish and tell me that we just needed time or that it was too soon. " I get it, Jackson, you don't need to explain. You don't feel the same way yet, I was surprised myself."

He laughed looking down. "Whats so funny?"

He nodded at something behind me, my eyebrows arching in confusion.

"Turn around."  I slowly did and gasped at the display in front of me.  Candles decorated the grass spelling out three words.

"I love you too Harper."
