The rest of the day, I got so many compliments for being brave and standing up for myself. I still got stares but they weren't for being weak, they were for being strong and standing up for what is right. Just before the end of eight period, Ms. Susan called me out to the hall.
"Ana, I am very proud of you. You stood up for yourself out there. I've never seen a girl or boy as brave and as kind as you."
"Neither have I." I felt an arm wrap around me and I looked back to see that it was Aaron. He looked at me with a big grin. I smiled in return.
"Thank you. I was just doing what was right. I don't want anybody else to feel the way I did." I told Ms. Susan. She smiled. "I think everybody is going to look at me In a new way. That's exactly what I want. To make a difference in people lives."
"And that is just what you did, Ms. Smith. You made and impact on all of these kids. Your very brave." Ms. Susan said as she gave me a hug. The bell rang and I waved goodbye to her as Aaron and I walked out the door, holding hands the entire time we walked. We swinger out hands back and forth and laughed.
"I think today was the second best day of my entire life!" I said while looking at Aaron and smiling. We sat in the grass near the town park.
"Second best day? What was the best day?" Aaron asked questioningly.
"The day we first kissed." I remarked as a smile formed on my face. One formed on Aaron's face as well.
"Well, I guess you can't beat that. I am a pretty good kisser." Aaron laid in the grass as he said that with a smirk on his face.
"I can't argue with that." I said as I laid down, putting my head on Aaron's chest.
"You really don't understand how proud I am of you," Aaron said as he started to stroke my hair," You really showed everybody how strong you are."
"Nobody should have to feel the way I did. They all just needed to see that." I said honestly because I meant it. I didn't do it for attention, I was actually that hurt.
"I know and when you said that to everybody, I think they really understood. I hate for you to be upset and I hope everybody else does too." Aaron said. I smiled at him. "I love you so much, Ana. I know I tell you that everyday, multiple times a day but that's because I mean it and I don't think you understand how much I love you."
"I do understand how much you love me because I love you just as much, maybe even more. You have been here for me through it all and I can't wait to see our future." I said. Aaron torun over on his side and looked into my eyes. Instead of saying anything, he cupped m face with both hands and passionately kissed me. I kissed him back and as I did, I saw fireworks.
"I think I love you more." Aaron said to me teasingly but sweetly. Right from the beginning if the day, I now know that everything just got Two Times Better.
