Kim's POV

It had been a good 4 hours since I left the girls to enjoy their dinner together, so I figured it was my job to make sure they had their refreshments and food in order. I headed downstairs and out into the back garden to be met by a very loud sarah

"Oh gooooody Kim's here" she said loudly

"And a very drunk sarah I'm guessing" I laughed before Sarah embraced me into a bone crushing hug

"Get off her Saz!" Cheryl said pulling me away from her

"Sorry babe she's a bit tipsy" cheryl explained and I couldn't help but laugh

"It's okay! I just came to check if you needed anything" I asked Cheryl's hand still placed on my arm

"Yes I do need something.. actually we all need something. Right girls?" cheryl said and I couldn't help but feel worried of what she wanted

"Right" they all said in sync

"What's that" I laughed awkwardly

"You are joining this party" cheryl said grabbing my hand gently this time and pulling me to sit next to her on the chair

"And you have no choice" she added jokingly winking at me. I just did what she said and sat next to her and she handed me a vodka and lemonade instantly

"Drink up" she laughed

"Chez are you drunk as well" I raised an eyebrow

"Nooo" she tried to collect herself

"So Kim where you from?" Nadine asked

"I'm from Bradford but moved to London at the age of 20" I said taking a sip of a very strong vodka lemonade

"Agh how much vodka did you put in this?" I ask Cheryl with my face screwed up. Cheryl started laughing

"Just a tinsy winsy bit of...lemonade" she hiccuped

"Oh really? I didn't realize that" I laughed

We spent the entire evening enjoying each other's company. It was a good night and for once my thoughts and worries were no where in sight. I was laughing, and joking for once. I felt alive.. the girls were very welcoming. And I felt comfortable around them, I felt as if I could be myself. For once.

"It's getting late" Nicola said gathering her things

"Yeah we should be heading out, I have to wake up early tomorrow morning" Nadine agreed

"Aw! I had fun today" Cheryl said

"Maybe someone should help out Sarah" I chuckled laughing at a very asleep Sarah on the lawn chair

"Agh! I got it" Nadine said going over and holding her by her waist and throwing her arm over her shoulder

"Always have to go over the limit aye Saz" Cheryl said laughing. We walked the girls out and I went back out to the back garden to get everything cleaned up

"Hey you want to just sit for a bit? I don't have work tomorrow?" Cheryl asked shyly

"Ah yeah sure" I shrugged taking a seat next to her. I stared out into the settings sun reflecting against the beautiful lake that I have come to love

"It's beautiful out here" I said taking in the beautiful sight

"It makes your problems not so big anymore" I added not realizing I said that out loud. There was a silence until Cheryl broke it

"When I was getting a divorce I felt so trapped in my old house, I didn't have an escape like this. When I first looked over this view it made all my worries and troubles not matter anymore. When I came with my realtor and looked at this view I instantly knew I wanted to purchase it" she sighed happily. I think she was telling me this to let me know it's okay to open up
