Chapter 9

We had finished eating our dinner.

"Ahhhh, that was the best dinner I have ever had."
Alex sighed.

"Right?? I told you DracoLith Diner is the best remake of the Dragon Nations Diner."
Lycan added.
We walked to Alex's home but, Alex froze when she passed by an ice cream store.

"No."

"Please?"
Alex used her puppy eyes.

"No, I know you when you eat ice cream, you get crazy."

"Please!! There's this one ice cream that I've wanted to try out!!
Alex pleaded.
I looked at the ice cream store.

"Fine. But if you get crazy, you owe me the amount of money that I spent on you for this ice cream."
I say.

"Really??? Thank you!!"
She smiles and hugs me.
Her hugs are so warm.
She heads into the store and looks for the ice cream.
She grabbed a coconut popsicle with chocolate bits on it...
I grab a strawberry and vanilla ice cream.

"Lycan, would you like one?"

"No I'm good."
He says.
I shrug and gave Alex the money.
She pays for it and I pay for mine.

She opens her popsicle wrapper and grabs the popsicle Stick.
She starts licking the popsicle.
She licks it from every angle, my face starts to heat up.

"Huh??"
Her face becomes shocked.

"Thy thongue this sthuck-"

"Your tongue is stuck?"
I rephrased.
She nods.

"Aw, here lemme help you."
I pulled her face away from the popsicle.

"Oh! I'm free!"
She smiles.
She's cute.

"Aw so cute."
Lycan hugs her.
Get your damn hands off of her you shit filled asshole.
Lycan smirks and looks at me.
I growl.
He got his arms off of her.

We walked her home and we said our goodbyes, then I remembered.

"Wait! Alex!"
I yell out.

"Hm?"
She turns around.

"Can I get your phone number?"

"Oh yeah sure!"
She pulls out her phone and she gives me her phone number. I put it on my phone and then we said our goodbyes.

I wave goodbye to Lowell and I try to open the door and of course, the door opens itself.

"What the hell Alex??"

"What?"

"You just left out of nowhere! When I got home, you weren't there!"

"Well I figured that I would be back."

"Well you guessed wrong."
He pulls my ear inside.

"You're grounded til I say so, which means, you'll be grounded from ever seeing anyone again, not even your own mother, not even your friends, and not even your friend of yours out there!"
He yells at me.

"Now go to your damn room!"

"n-"

"What?"

"No!"

"What did you just say to me??"

"I said no!"
Tears started to form.

"Okay, Fine, give me your phone then!"

"No!"

"Give me your damn phone!"
He tries to grab it with force, he pushes me down, but I get back up and grab my phone.
He grabs me by the throat. He has never done this before.

"You either go to your room and never see anybody, or you don't and you don't get to have your phone."

"F-Fine!"
I choke out.
He lets go of me.
I run to my room and lock the door.

I text Lowell.

Alex joined the chatroom

Alex: Lowell?

Lowell joined the chatroom

Lowell: yes?

Alex: where do you live?

Lowell: woah lady, I know we just met but really??

Alex: Lowell come on!

Lowell: okay okay! I live by Jade and Valor Avenue.

Alex: okay, I'll be there in a sec.

Lowell: wait what for??

Alex: I'll tell you when I'm there, bai!

Alex has left the chatroom

I pack all of my essential needs, I pack clothes, my laptop, drawing materials, phone, chargers, and a few extra things in case I'm bored.

I escape through the window, I open it slowly and I get through.
I run down to Jade and Valor Avenue, passing by grass of green and skies of navy blue.
I then see Lowell in one of the windows.

I went to the house, and I tried to climb it, no use. I then see a tree, with a branch connecting to his window.
I climb the tree and I crawl on the branch to the window.

Lowell was laying on his bed,
Shirtless??

"What are you looking at? Hm?"
He looks at me.

"Checking me out now huh? Get used to this, I always go to bed without a shirt."

"Oh Okay!"

"Now why are you here?"
He says as I lay my two bags down, one filled with clothes and another filled with other essential needs.

"My dad, well, let's just say that he did something to me that I did not like-"

"Rape??"
He interrupted.

"No, but abuse is more like it and yell too."

"Oh- well at least you have a dad, mine just passed."
He started to form tears but, he just wiped them away.

"Well, I have a mom and I know that for sure but, I rarely get to visit her, my dad never lets me. He only lets me when he feels like it."
I say lowly.

Silence filled the air.

"So! Do you have an extra controller?"

"For what?"

"This gaming console named P4R, stands for Play 4 Real."

"Yeah?"
I pull it out of my bag.

"Wanna play a game with me? You basically have to shoot all these zombies til you die and then when you die, you have to be revived by your friends."

"Sure!!"
I say excitedly.
He turns on the P4R and we just started playing for the rest of the night, I actually enjoyed it.

For the rest of the night, I became closer with her. She eventually fell asleep on my shoulder. I pick her up and lay her on the bed. I lay beside her.
Today I had fun, and I'm glad.
