Color Meets Monochrome

Chapter 8

Time to get ready then. I think of questions to answer for myself while being in the shower.
I get into the shower and turn it on. The water drowns out all other noise, which helped me focus on answering those questions.
Thirty minutes later
I get out of the shower and go to my room to pick out my outfit.
I get my signature Neon Green Wolf T-Shirt, with my gray jacket on top, jeans, and my boots with the fur.
I dry my hair out to the point where I can brush it. After drying, I brushed it. I curl it a bit and now I'm ready! Or am I? Nope, I put my hair in a ponytail.
Now I'm ready!
I go out and meet up with Lowell outside..

"Looking different today."

"Shush."
He looks away.
I look at him and his attire.
He was wearing a white shirt under his blue flannel, jeans and blue shoes to top it all off.

"Looking very blue today."

"Shush your face."
He shushed me.

"Anyways you ready to go??"

"Yeah."
I reply.
He walks beside me as we walk to that remake of a restaurant.

A few minutes later...
We arrive at DracoLith Diner where we see Lycan up ahead.
He was wearing a dark blue jacket with a black shirt under, with black jeans, and black with blue laced shoes.

"You also look very blue."
I say not smiling, trying to look as serious as possible.
The two boys look at each other.

"Looks like I do, but not as much as Smurf boy here."

"Hey!"
Lowell retorted.

"What? Can't take a joke?"
Lycan says while smirking.
I can feel tension. Eh they're boys, I guess it's just competition? The question is, competition for what?

"Anyways, let's head inside, shall we?"
Lycan held out his hand for me to grab.
I didn't grab his hand and I just head inside.

"So Lowell, who are you to be protective of her?"
Lycan asks me.

"I'm closer to Alex and plus I have a bad feeling about you."

"Why do you have a bad feeling about me?"

"I just don't trust you."

"Okay fine, but you better get used to me, or else on our journey, you won't like it."
Lycan sounded like he was threatening me.

"Yeah got it."
I say as he went with Alex.
He better not touch her.
And he wraps his arm around her.
Ha just kidding, I know you guys just wanted me to get jealous, no chance of that.

I chuckle but then he actually put his arm around her. I growl and I catch up to them. He got his arm off of her as soon as I appeared next to her. They sit us at a table of 4.
I sit across from Lycan.

"Looks like you have to choose Alex."
Lycan snickers.

"Oki."
She sat right next to me.
I smirked and Lycan growled, lowly.

The waiter comes by our table and asks us for drinks.

"May I have water?"
I asked, the waiter writes it down.

"May I have-"

"May I have chocolate milk?"
Alex cuts off Lycan.

"Sorry, I'm just a little excited about them having chocolate milk..."
She laughs it off. Lycan chuckles.

"Heh.. anyways I would like a water too."
He tells the waiter.
The waiter writes his order down and goes off to the kitchen.

I notice that Alex was looking in the sushi section.
She takes notes on which food she wants.
I see on her notes that she wants Golden Crabmeat Roll, Calamari, Orange Chicken with Rice, and Coconut Shrimp.
Her orders are mostly seafood based.

"Hey Alex, I noticed that you mostly have seafood based orders on your notes, do you like seafood?"

"Wow Lowell, stalking much?"

"No, it's called curiosity."
I reply to Lycan.

"Hm? Oh yeah, I do like seafood, mainly sushi."

"Really? Hm."
Lycan said.

"See? You're curious too."

"Shhhhhhh."
He shushes me.
The waiter comes back with our drinks.

"Are you ready for me to take your orders?"

"Yes, I would like this tuna sandwich with a side of fries and buffalo wings."
Lycan tells the waiter.

"I would like Golden Crabmeat Roll, Calamari, Orange Chicken with Rice, and Coconut Shrimp please!"
Alex lists off all of her foods.

"And I will have a Surprise Sunset Steak, with a side of onion wings, and little side of spaghetti."
I told the waiter.
The waiter then goes away with our orders.

"So Alex, what mythical animal are you most interested in?"

"Well, we never believed in any mythical animals but I have grown quite interested in Amphitheres and Wyrms"
She says.

"Aren't they both a type of dragon??"

"Well it was speculated wyrms came first in the dragon family but it's quite the opposite. Drake is a dragon but without the wings. So Drake came first, then Dragon, then Wyverns which are dragons but minus two legs. Then Amphitheres which are dragons but minus four legs. Wyrms are supposedly last and most powerful since they are dragons that can fly without wings or limbs."

"Wow we have a nerd here."
Lycan chuckled.

"Yeah, I've always been interested in dragons but we were never allowed to have fun nor believe in anything stupid."
Alex says with a frown.

"Well where we are going, is somewhere that will make you believe in everything."
Lycan says.
I growl.

"So Alex, what subject do you like most?"
I ask.

"Oh, I like Science and History, I like all of mysterious things that had gone through our lives to make us this way, but when it comes down to actually doing the work for it, I wish to just pass on that."
She laughs.

"Really? I like Math, although I was a stupid bully to you, I am smart."
I say with utmost certainty.

"You? Smart? Nope."
Lycan said, laughing.

"Okay So if you were smart then, what is Pi?"

"Three point one four, and if you put those numbers backwards it'll spell out Pie."
I answer fast.

"How do you find the area of a trapezoid?"

"Add Base 1 and 2. Then times it by the height, then divide that by 2."

"Damn you're good."
She says, giggling a bit.
Then the waiter comes by with our food. Well, the waiters comes by with our food.

Lycan slowly started to eat, but Alex, she just starts to eat fast.

"Woah, slow down Alex, you might choke."
Lycan winks at me, I shake my head.

"Alex, seriously, eat slowly."
I say with seriousness in my voice.
She listens to ME and starts eating slowly.

"Sorry, I don't usually eat this much, that's why."
She says, looking away.

"It's okay, I like a girl that can eat."
Lycan says another dirty joke.

"Lycan stop it with the jokes."
I say.

And I can tell that I'm not gonna sway Alex at this time with Lycan around.

I have to get Alex alone-

She has to be mine.
