Chapter 16

•Princeton•
"Mom. hey ma, can you meet me at the hospital please?" I've never been more nervous in my entire life. There was a pause before she said anything.
"Are you ok? What happened?" Her voice was concerning.
"I am fine just please come." I replied.
"Ok. i am ok my way. What room? Do I ask for your name?" She asks. My throat got tighter.

"Annalise Perez" I said.
"Um, ok mijo" She hung up.

I took Sav home to go and get rest. Janice is sleeping on the small couch. she's back to her regular color and normal. I hadn't slept at all. Im so scared to close my eyes and she's gone. I walked over to Anna and held her hand. I spoke to her hoping she'd hear me.
"Annalise you're the best thing that's ever happened to mommy. And progressively becoming my best thing. Please fight princess. Do it for mommy and aunt Sav and even me. Please Princess, I need you to be stron-" My voice cracked and I just broke down. How did she become my other in so little time? My had walked in with a questioned look on her face. She glanced at Janice, then to Anna, then lastly to me. She grabbed me and I just cried.
"Who is the baby Jacob?" My mom asked letting me go.
My words came out like water, "Ma, before I left to go to the group, Janice had found out she was pregnant. She didn't wanna tell me because it would stop me from going. So now i just recently met the baby and an accident happened last night. Mom im hurting because I just met her and she became half of me. I don't know what to" I wiped my tears and went to sit. My mom sat next to me, not saying a word but starring at Anna.
"She's beautiful. I wish we've known earlier. That's what happens when you have a child, they become you're everything. How old is she?"
"She's 3 Mrs. Perez" Janice had said waking up.

•Janice•
I heard a woman's voice in my head, the. heard Prince's and soon I woke up to his mother speaking to him.
"She's 3 Mrs. Perez." I said answering her question and getting up to hug her.
"It's nice to see you again Janice. Are you ok? You must be so scared baby" She hugged me. I couldn't cry. I was all cried out. She let me go and I walked over to Anna.
"It was nice what you said to Anna Prince. Thank you" I said smiling and grabbing on to Anna's lifeless hand. I wish she'd just wake up. I miss her so much.
"So what exactly happened?" Mrs. Perez had asked
"I wish I knew. I was with my Roommate in her room and Anna was in her room and the next thing you know, We heard glass shattering and Anna was on the floor bleeding out. She got shot and now has a bullet in her. The doctor had told me it's up to her. She's going to go through another surgery that will determine whether she live-"
"Mrs. janice, it's time" The doctor had ran in and cut me off. Nurses scrambled and assembled Anna. I kissed her on the forehead and whispered "I love you". They left the room and it felt like someone just ripped my heart out.
"I promise Janice, everything will be fine." Shr reassured.
"Mom, what happens now?" Jacob asked.
"We wait. Nothing but praying and hope." She answered.
"Knock Knock" Roc said as him and the boys walked in with balloons and teddy bears, with Sav and some lady trailing behind them with coffee.
"Hey guys" I smiled and hugged everyone.
"How are yall holding up J? Savannah told us" Ray Ray asked as he placed the teddy bear almost the size of me on the bed.
"Im ok guys thank you" I reassured with a smile.
"Where's Anna?" Sav asked
"She went for her second surgery" I responded.
"So Prince do you have anything you want to tell me?" The lady asked as she hugged him.
"Keisha this is Janice, my old girlfriend from back in the day. I just came in contact with her, finding out we had a babygirl, who has been hurt and that's why we are here" I finished.
"Ohhhkayyy." She sighed. "So I would obviously have to chat with Walter and Mrs. Perez and see what would happen from now. But as of now, Janice I am so sorry about your daughter" She said as she hugged me.
"He will have a lot of catching up to and so do I. If that's ok with Janice?" Mrs. Perez had asked.
"Of course. I would love for Annalise's dad's family involved." I smiled. 

6 Hours later...

I was sitting with Jacob and Sav doing some homework, Roc stayed and was asleep on the couch. Everyone had went home and do what they needed to do. Annalise's surgery went well. They took the bullet out but she hasn't shown any sign of movement or consciousness. Im so nervous and praying. I walked over to her and squeezed her hand.
"Hey princess, it's time to wake up." I kissed her on the forehead. Nothing. Blank face. I walked back to Jacob and laid my head down.
"She'll wake up. I know it" Sav said.
The heart monitor was beeping a little faster than normal. Jacob and I had looked at the machine and started to accelerate. Soon, the beeping became faster and faster and soon became flat.
"OMG. SOMEONE CALL THE NURSE!" I yelled as I went to Anna.
"Annalise, Baby wake up!! PLEASE!" I screamed and cried.
Sav paged the nurse who soon ran in the room. Jacob pulled me back and Roc had jumped up. The doctor and another nurse ran in here and began to attach more things to her.
"HER HEART BEAT STOPPED GILL. GRAB A VENTILATOR. TRANSPORT HER" The nurse yelled as they removed Anna from the room.
"Can someone please tell me what's happening!" I cried.
"She might not make it Ms. Perez, I am so sorry" The nurse replied and ran out.
My heart began to beat heavy. I could it through my ears. I began to get weak and collapsed onto Jacob. Soon, it went black. Again.
