THEY couldn't be any happier, truly. Mabel was a year into medical school, studying to be a physiatrist, and interning at a phycologist office. They had been celebrating Grayson's undergrad degree and his acceptance into the DPT program he'd been striving for. The party was just as Cameron's was, family and friends flowed in and out the house, and Gray couldn't be more ecstatic to be surrounded by so much love and support.

The day was beautiful. A soft June breeze blew Mabel's hair off her back and ventilated the space underneath her black sundress and between her toes free from the light blue sandals. Grayson was wearing a baby blue button down with the sleeves rolled and black dress pants. They were both pretty, but together, they were something beautiful.

Grayson had whisked her off to their spot between the willow trees. There wasn't a better moment than there, to get down on one knee and ask Mabel to be his wife. There faith couldn't get any stronger and all they wanted was to make their forever official.

Their wedding was tear jerking. Lisa and Margret bawled, even Sean let a few tears fall, but still claims the opposite. They had a little back yard wedding underneath the willow trees that held so many beautiful memories and the beginning to their story. He wore baby blue and she wore white. Cameron was her maid-of-honor, and, of course, Ethan was the best man. Ethan ended up dating one of the bridesmaids shortly after the wedding, even marrying her a little bit down the road. Not a single frown was present during the reception. People danced the night away with drinks in their hands and stomachs so full they wouldn't eat for days.

Grayson and Mabel darted off the Bali the next day. Enjoying the sun, the sand, and the ocean. They explored different cultures during the day, then each other during the night. They came home with pictures that belonged in frames, and Mabel decided then that she would scrapbook their entires lives so that when they were eight feet under the ground, their hypothetical kids had something to smile about.

They got through school together, always supporting each other. Their relationship wasn't perfect, for no human ever is. They fought, annoyed one another, and agreed to disagree. They were only human, but they're arguments only challenge their love to grow stronger. The couple saved up enough money to jet off on adventures all around the world, visiting different countries to explore different religions while also growing stronger in theirs. Once they witnessed just how giant the earth is then they realized just how small and insignificant they were.

It was April, a month after they returned from their excursion, when they received news that their little family wouldn't be so little anymore. They packed up their little apartment space and hiked it to the suburbs. There, their pictures were in frames on the walls, on the mantle, and their bedside table. A large backyard that they'd allow their dog to roam (Grayson took pills for his allergies, so that he could compensate with Mabel's wishes) and eventually fill with a playground and trampoline. A wrap around porch was decorated by fake plants and a porch swing on Mabel's request.

They fell against the couch, exhausted from all the work they put into their new home. They were excited to start a family, to grow old together, to eventually die together. They couldn't wait for life to take them one day at a time. They were happy, truly.

"I'm so happy I got the privilege to fall in love with someone who's willing to walk this journey with me."
