*~*

It was Wednesday, two days after the shocking revelation that Justine had received. Somehow, she felt excited yet nervous at the same time. Could she endure the two months of tutoring the guy? Was he rude? A geeky type? Athletic? Or a bookworm? She was hoping he wears glasses. Because damn, she's a sucker for guys who wear one.

She placed her cookie jar on her study desk as she sat on the wooden chair. She took out her yellow pad and began scanning her notes as she wrote important details. Ever since that day, she planned that every night, she would make a summary of all the lessons each day so that she wouldn't have to shoulder everything and summarize all the lessons given a week. In this manner, she could still have spare time to watch Youtube.

Stretching her arms in the air, she stood up as she headed straight to her bed and slipped under her comfortable blanket as she took out her phone and opened Youtube but was interrupted when her two friends decided to communicate with her visually. She thought this was the perfect opportunity to tell them about her new job.

"What? You're kidding me, right?"

"No, I'm adulting you right now." Justine replied in a mocking stern voice.

"Noooo!" Sam dramatically wailed over the video call. "What will happen to our F.F.A?"

"What the heck does that mean?"

"Our friday food adventures," she pouted.

"Jeez, Sam," Jamie rolled her eyes. "All you ever think about is food."

"Is it my problem that I'm always hungry?"

"And you still wouldn't get fat!" Jamie countered.

"Is it my fault? I'm trying my best, okay." Sam huffed out. "Besides, not getting fat easily is both a blessing and curse. I mean, yeah I get to eat more but it's getting annoying how my family keep making comments about how I'm underweight."

"How about you share that speedy metabolism of yours?"

"If only I could, I would not have second thoughts about it."

"Uhh, guys, we're missing the point of our conversation here." Justine reminded.

"Oh shit, yeah." Sam smacked her palm on her forehead. "All the food talk made me hungry, I'll be back in a jiffy." Sam announced as her face evaporated from the screen.

"Anyway," Jamie started. "What are you supposed to do in that job of yours?"

"Just like I mentioned earlier, I'll be heading to the guy's place and teach him. Simple as that. Plus, I get paid." She grinned.

"That's great!" Jamie said in shock and joy.

"Yep, I can't believe my prayers have been answered." She smiled as she felt her heart grow warm. "Hopefully, it's enough for me to buy my medicines so that I wouldn't ask from dad."

"I'm pretty sure it is. Besides, you said the family is loaded?"

"Well, that's what they said." She shrugged. "I hope I would be able to save a portion of my salary for my wants. I badly wanted to eat the brownies from Lilia's bakery for some time now."

"Do I hear food?" Sam's face joined the two as she munched on some chips. "If you're planning to do that, make sure to invite me."

"Typical Sam." She retorted as Jamie chuckled.
