Chapter 2

Jessie POV
The next few weeks at the diner had gone good. No more threats from Jenna, I had gotten closer with Becky and Dawn, and Cal stopped scaring me. Life was doing pretty good.

Dawns POV
Me, Jenna and Becky all were texting one night about Jessie.
J-Jenna B-Becky D-Dawn

J- What's up with Jessie? Does she have like PTSD or something? She is so squirmish and she always is scared of loud noises.
B- Idk
D- It's not PTSD
J-How do u know?
D- Well if u took the time to know her you would know that she had an abusive ex-boyfriend and he almost shot her one day, almost strangled her to death, and tried to kill her in her car.
B- Yeesh
J-That doesn't give her an excuse to keep dropping and braking everything.
B-OMG JENNA! Give her a break! Why r u so mean to her?
Jenna has left the conversation
B-Oh come on!

Still Dawns POV
It was the morning after the whole text incident and me, Becky and Jenna were preparing for our day. It was 5 minutes passed the time we had to be at the diner. "Were is Jessie?" Jenna asked. "Calm down, it's only 5 minutes. Give her a break." Said Becky. But then 5 minutes turned into 10, then 15, then 20. Now 20 minutes late is a lot. So I decided to call her. "Hey Jessie, were are you?" I asked into the receiving end. But all I heard was screaming. "JESSIE! JESSIE! What's going on?!? R u hurt?! Did Raymond find you?! Jessie answer me!!!" I practically screamed into my phone. But the line just went dead. All of a sudden we all heard a huge crash outside. I ran towards the door and stood outside.

There was Jenna's car, flipped over, and a man with a gun pulling Jessie out of the car. I stood here in shock. Soon Jessie and Becky joined us. And somehow Lulu found her way outside. Lulu screamed, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HER?!?!" Loud and proud so that the man could see us. He suddenly aimed his gun at us and we all threw our hands up. "Get inside now!" The man screamed from the car. Then I remember that Jessie had given me a number and or it on the wall. So I decided to call the number. And a man answered. "Detective Danny of the ASPD what can I help you with?" "Hi. My name is Dawn Williams. I am friends with Jessie Madison-" "Is there a shooter were you are ma'am?" He asked. "Yes" I answered. "I'll be right there."
