It had been three days since the attack on our pack. Three days since Elvira's clan had fled. Cordelia said that they probably went into hiding now that they knew what kind of power I wielded. The magic I possessed was the result of generations of suppression and I needed to learn how to use it or it would consume me. Cordelia and I had gone through the basics, just enough to get me by until the real training began in two weeks.
As for Osckar and I we were happy. Well as happy as you can be after facing death and defeating your enemies. We still had no mating bond, but thanks to my magic I've linked our minds together so we can still communicate in wolf form.
It was going to be a long road to recovery and healing. There was no doubt that dying has its consequence. And there was the fact that my parents warned me of more dangers to come my way. Magic attracts magic, good or bad and now, I was a beacon.
I hadn't told him about that. Not yet anyway, I wanted us to have a moment of peace.
"What are you concentrating so hard on." Oskcar said wrapping his arms around me as I stared out of our bedroom window.
"I was just thinking about how much I love you."
"I think, that was the first time you've actually said that." he said turning me around to face him.
"Well, it's about time it was said." I smiled up at him.
His eyes shone with joy.
"I love you too." he whispered before brushing his lips against mine.
