Faith made her way into her first lesson with a confused look on her face. She tried to stop thinking about the man she saw stood outside reception and focus on the wonderful history. Great for a Monday morning... Not. She took a seat at the back, next to her good friend Iara - being her bubbly self as usual. "Faith, oh my god how was your summer? You're so brown, I'm so jealous! I've just stayed my milk bottle white as usual. But guess what? I've got a boyfriend!! He's soooo hot, he's got these blue eyes that...."
Faith just laughed and rolled her eyes and tried to focus on the start of the lesson. Miss Bowmen (the history teacher) was like marmite - you either loved her, or hated her. In Faith's case, she absolutely could not stand her. Hated her guts actually. But to be honest, she did learn a lot in her lessons and is on the right tracks for an A in her history GCSE. Faith didn't even realise Iara was still talking to her until Miss shouted at Iara and told her to 'shut her trap'.
Iara hated her too.
Making their way out of lesson, they bumped into Oliver, who was another of their close friends, and absolutely in love with Faith (or so he claimed). Don't get me wrong, Oliver was a good enough looking guy but there was just something about him that Faith didn't find attractive, even though he treated her like a princess. All through year 8 and 9 he brought her flowers, bought her chocolates, was always the first to congratulate her, but always the last to judge.. Basically he worshipped the ground that she walked on, but he just wasn't...it.
"Faith! How are you? I've missed you!! How was your summer? Didn't meet any boys did we, eh?I've bought you a little present actu-".
Cutting him off mid sentence, Faith give him a big hug; answered his questions and thanked him for the present but told him to 'give it to a girl who would really appreciate it.' That might sound harsh but if she got a penny for Everytime she told him to go and find someone who was as loving as himself, she would be a millionaire. She loved Olly to bits, but didn't see him as anything more than a friend. Just as she was waving goodbye the bell went for period 2. Faith quickly checked her new timetable and saw that she has double drama. "Yes!!" Faith nudged Iara and showed her, her timetable. "Drama is such an improvement on history. Not only that, Dylan said there's a new drama teacher. Let's hope he's nice haha!"
That was when she realised that, that green eyed, broad shouldered, chiseled-jawed man who she saw outside main reception was the new drama teacher! Get in! She tried to compose herself by thinking that he might be a horrible person on the inside, a monster that was judgemental to everyone and everything... But there was something in her mind telling her that she was going to enjoy drama much more than she had ever anticipated. And most of it wasn't going to be acting.
