"What the hell are they gonna do to help?" I ask.

"Trust me"

"I don't even know you" I state.

"You knew me enough when we slept together" My face freezes.

She isn't lying.

"Fine"

Walking, we go to the Prison.

"We are here to see F.P Jones and Ricardo Gomez please" Selena says.

I look over at her, she stands there with a worried expression.

"You will have to sign in" Selena takes a big gulp.

"You okay?" I ask her.

"I just haven't seen my dad in while" She says quietly.

I just stand there not knowing what to say.

"We're going together'' I blurt out.

Why do I suddenly care?

She just nods.

The man leads us to the door where we will enter.

"Dad" Jug said running towards the glass.

I see my dad coming in, when he sees me both of our face sadden.

"Selena" I hear him mouth.

I sit next to Jughead and my dad and F.P look at each other and slightly smiling.

I grab the microphone.

"Hey Sel"

"I need your help" I say looking down.

"What happened? I can't do much from here" He says.

"The Serpents are in trouble and Sweet Pea and Toni are in jail right now, the Gullys need to take responsibility for what they did. I heard the mayor arrested them because she thought they were still dealing Jingle Jangle" I state.

"Your a Serpent?" He asks.

"No, I also don't plan on murdering anyone" His face quickly drops.

"Challenge them to a race" F.P looks at my dad.

"Gomez my dad wants to talk to you" Jughead says.

I grab the phone from his booth.

"Keep my boy safe, your gonna make him a better person" I just nod.

"I will Mr.Jones"

"COME ON LETS GO" The officers shout.

"A race for land-" Before F.P can say anything else they grab him harshly along with ,y dad, I show no emotion.

Jughead looks upset and disappointed.

"We got an answer" Jughead storms out.

I run after him which leads outside.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"WHY IS MY DAD IN THERE?!" Jughead shouts.

"Jug you know what he did"

"IT ISN'T FAIR"

"JUGHEAD DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW THAT? MY DAD IS NEVER GETTING OUT OF PRISON AND HE'S SENTENCED FOR LIFE! YOUR DAD HAS 10 YEARS!"

"Selena I'm sorry"

"You should be sorry for so much more Jones. Like how you constantly bully me! Yet I'm here helping you" I spit.

"Let's just go and discuss the plan" I say.

We get to my small trailer. He sets his jacket down on the old wooden rack.

"You should become a Serpent" Jughead blurts.

"And why is that?" I ask.

"What do you mean? It's in your blood. You grew up with the South Side" He says.

"But it's not Jughead, I don't wanna be in some type of Gang where I'm going to be peer pressured into doing crap I don't want"

"Your not I promise...I'm gonna be there" Suddenly I feel a weird yet comfortable tension rise.

"What about Toni?" I ask "She hates me"

"I won't let her touch you. The Gang knows who you are, and my dad and your dad were kings, leaders even, of course they are gonna accept you"

"I uh-"

"Just think about it please" Jughead says.

"I-I will" I stumble over my words and try to avoid the topic as best as possible.

"We need a car" I say.

"I think I know where we can find one" He smirks.

___

"Perfection" He says taking off a coat of a black muscle Mustang.

"It needs some tune up but..."

"I can help with that" I say.

___

I finish fixing up the car. Jughead stares over at me.

"What?"

"Nothing just surprised"

"What that I can fix a car and you can't?" I ask confidently.

"Who said I couldn't fix a car?" He asks with a smirk.

"The fact that you did absolutely nothing to help"

"Maybe I just wanted to watch" He admits.

I put my head down.

"Do you know what rule one of the Serpent laws are?"

"A Serpent never stands alone" I reply.

"So I'm not letting you stand alone anymore" He says.

"I'm not a Serpent"

"I don't care what you say, to me you are" He walks over to me and looks down at the hood of the car.

He gets in in the drivers side and turns on the engine. I hear it roar in the background and see that smirk of his playing across his lips. He signals for me to come over to the passenger side.

"All it needed was a fixer upper from one of the best" He says grabbing on to the gear shift.

He backs out of the isolated garage and speeds down the road.

At that moment it felt like there was no one in the world except...us.
