Consistency
Isn't really a
Thing
You can expect much of at
The Gates.
Consistent
Inconsistency
Is what we've grown accustom to;
Adapted to;Evolved from.
But Toonz is the exception to
That rule.
Toonz is consistently
Consistent
As he punches in
And
Punches out
And approaches his days with a
Rhythmic routine
Day in and day
Out:
1. Emergency repairs
2. Cleaning
3. Long-term projects (if the day permits).
But this here,
This collection of words
Right here,
That I've set to record,
That I want to jot down,
That you're eyes are reading now,
Is the story of the time
Toonz stopped being consistent.
But before I can get into
That,
We've got to establish some
Foundation
And set the ground work
For a better understanding,
So bear with me here,
If you don't mind,
That is,
'Cause
I'm going to have to ask you to
Close your eyes.
(Go on,
Don't be afraid.
Have some trust,
Will you,
Even if it's only
An ounce?)
Once you're ready with your eyes
Shut good and tight
I'm going to ask you to imagine a
Wall.
Make it tall and
Make it wide.
(Go ahead and stretch it out if you need to
'Cause I want it to be
Tall
And
Wide.)
And imagine that
Wall all
Smooth and
All white.
