I Will Fall For You.

Tonight when you hold my hand,

our feet landing on the soft sand,

I will fall for you.

And though I won't tell you,

I hope you notice the glimmer in my eyes

when you smile and laugh.

When you hold me close

on the worst of days,

my heart flutters knowing that

you care for me.

Tonight when you sit down next to me,

our feet skimming the water

the air around us filled with glee,

I will fall for you.

And though I won't tell you,

I hope you feel my rapid heart beat when you rest your

head on my shoulder, or my hitched breathing when you

put a strand of hair behind my ear

that fell across my face.

You just being next to me,

by my side makes me happy.

Tonight when you tell me your crush,

and it turns out to not be me,

I will swallow back my tears.

And though I won't tell you how it kills me,

I hope you notice the tears brimming my eyes,

and the sadness in my tone.

The thought of you with someone else fills me with anger.

Tonight when you finally notice,

I will be filled with nothing but sorrow,

because you have a wife.

And though I won't tell you how long it lasted,

I wish nothing but to feel your love.

But that won't happen.

Because not everyone gets what they want,

even when they do good.

Tonight when you hold me tight,

I will push away

and finally move on.

Though it may seem impossible.
