I shake my head a little.
Smile.
I bite my lip to restrain a chuckle
for awhile.
This is how you know.
How you know that you are surrounded
by the best people on Earth.
Because no other people would do this.
Only you.
And I love you for it.
I'm so grateful for it.
I can't imagine a world without
you.
I remember a world before, but
it was dark and distant.
Rouge, you are the light.
That shone so bravely in the night.
I think about all of these
things as I
hold, clutch
the paper in my sweaty palms,
never letting go.
Not of the paper
nor you
nor this marvelous world.
