"You Look Sad."

In the morning,

I woke up angry, tired and frustrated.

It didn't help we ran out of milk.

Or the fact that school started soon.

I was late,

and I was in no mood to trekk around all day.

I entered class and my mood was about to blow.

All I had the energy to do was to sit and cope,

gaze out into nothingness,

and drift out of my suroundings.

All of a sudden there was a voice behind me, a tap on my shoulder.

"You look sad," the girl asked and it took me by surprise.

All I could really do was shrug and mutter an "oh."

Later that day, and also a couple of years later, I found it humorous.

How strange that girl became so attached to me,

in a way it was as if she made me no longer sad or bored,

so no other person should ask that exact question again.
