Finn didn't experience listening to bedtime stories when he was a child.
But there were stories to hear every night. In every raging conversation of his relatives. In every intense emotion they convey. It was enough for Finn to fall asleep.
"Your sister raised a weak child! He's still too young but he's already diagnosed with cancer! Now that he's stuck with us, we'll be responsible for him and his hospital bills!" Finn's uncle seethed.
"Don't blame me! It's not that I wanted that child to live here! I have no choice, okay? She's my sister, this is the least I can do for her!" Finn's aunt confronted back.
"If we become poor because of that child, I won't hesitate to throw him out!"
Finn clutched his blanket. His breathing was calm, almost sleepy because of the noise.
"Another tragic story about the life of Finn," Finn mumbled in his sleepy voice. "I hope it will end soon."
And he fell asleep.
