Lisa POV

I didn't say a word to Jennie the rest of the week. She didn't say one single word to me either. I felt pretty lonely, to be honest, but I guess I asked for it.
Yet, I thought about her every night.

It was Monday, the beginning of my second week of high school, Jennie stands in front of her locker, a tall girl stands beside her. When Jennie sees me rolling towards them, her friend looks at me before walking away. She didn't seem happy. I open my locker with a sigh. "Hi," I say, and I surprise myself when I sound shy. Jennie ignores me, fishing books out of her locker like I was invisible. I groan.
"Look," I start. "I'm... sorry. I was a complete bitch. You were only being nice."

"Okay," She smiles. "I accept your apology."
"Wait, really?" I ask, confused. "That's it? Don't you think I'm a bitch?"
"I thought you were," She shrugged. Oh. "But I realized I should've stayed away as you wished. So, no, you're not a bitch, you just acted like one."
"Oh," I shrug this time. "Thanks?"
"Welcome," she laughed, running her hand through her hair. God, she was breath taking.
"So who was that and why does it look like she hates me?"

"Who, Rosé?" She shuts her locker. "Um, I just told her what happened. I guess I should tell her we made up so she doesn't give you the stink eye."
"We 'made up'? I only apologized, Nini. We aren't friends."

She smiled with her gummy smile, her brown orbs looking into my brown ones. My breath hitched.
I closed my locker, sighing. My hands felt, like jelly. I put my hands in my lap, shaking my head. How am I supposed to get to class?
"You okay?" Jennie asked with worry in her voice.
"Yeah, my hands are just tired."
"Can I... push you?"
"Yeah, sure," I smile up at her, and she claps her hands excitedly.

"Yay!"Oh my god, she's adorable. If my hands weren't so tired I'd reach up and pinch her cheeks.
She started off slow, cautious, and I laughed.
"Is that all you got, Kim?"
"You wanna go faster, Manoban?"
"Maybe."
Before I knew it, we were zooming down the halls, Woah.
"Woo!" She laughed.

It was lunch and this time I came to her table. She smiled brightly when she saw me coming towards. "Ms. Manoban."
"Ms. Kim," I replied with a smirk.
I took out my math book, groaning. I hate math. Being home schooled all these years has made it harder, since I'm so used to having class one on one, just me and my teacher. "You aren't going to eat?"
"No, I'm not that hungry. I gotta try and figure this out anyway," I shrug.

She makes her way to my side of the lunch table, leaving her food and sitting next to me. I gulp, my face suddenly becoming warm. "Here, let me see," she says, taking my pencil to explain the math problem. Soon enough I understood it. Wow.

"See, not that hard," She smiles, looking me straight in the eyes. I smile, flushing again and she seems to do the same. "Yeah... Thanks," I say quietly. I take my book and bag, placing it on my lap and rolling away. "Um, bye Jennie."

Between classes I decide to stop by the music room, fascinated by all the instruments, but I keep my eyes on the piano. I make my way over to it, but I have to run my chair into the piano bench to move it out my way. It sounds weird, but it's all I can manage.  I move my chair until I was set perfectly in front of the piano. Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath and slowly place my fingers onto the keys, the music starting gracefully.

When I was done, I slumped my hands down, exhausted.
"Wow." I gasp. "Jennie, what the hell? You scared me. Were you there all that time?"
"Maybe," she says, walking through the doorway and making her way towards me, leaning on the piano. "What did you think?"
"Um.. It was depressing."
"Thanks," I say sarcastically but jokingly. She laughs. "Do you play?"
"Um, I only learned that one, so, no," I sigh. "I want to, but my hands get tired so quickly due to my disease... I don't know, maybe one day."
"You should," she says, sitting on the piano bench and holding my hands. Her thumbs smoothly rub my hands and I feel as if I met melt. What is this feeling?

We're staring into each others eyes, and if I'm not hallucinating, I could've sworn she was leaning in. My breath hitches for the second time today, and I close my eyes. Wait.

She moves back when I quickly move my hands away from hers, pushing my chair back. My face was burning hot and hers was flushed red. "Anyway," she mutters.

'Yeah, um," I look around awkwardly. "Do you play anything?"
"Other than Flappy Bird?' I laugh. "Yeah, the guitar. I'm not very good though."
She fetches the guitar, sits back down and starts playing. It was short but sweet.
"Yay," I laugh, giving her a mini applause. I hear more clapping.

"Encore!" Says a boy, walking into the room. "Very well done, Jennie."
"Thank you," she blushes. What?
Jennie sees my reaction. "Oh, Lisa this is Taehyung, he goes to school here. Taehyung, this is Lisa.'
"Hey," he shakes my hand. "Hi."
"So, Jen, I wanted to know if you want to come to my party this weekend?" He asks. I suddenly feel invisible. She stands up.

"Um, I don't know, maybe," she stutters, fluttering her eyelashes. I feel a pinch in my stomach. Oh. "You can come too, Lisa," Taehyung adds.
"I don't know," I shrug.
"Well my party is on Saturday, so just tell me by Friday."
"Okay," Jennie smiles.

My subconscious peeks out.
Oh Lisa, looks like you've got some competition.
