FIVE // "all's fair in love and war,"

***

am i just a fool?
blind and stupid for loving you
am i just a silly girl?
so young and naive to think you were
the one who came to take claim of this heart

Laughing, I attempted to wipe my face clean. "Not fair," I got out between laughs.

"All's fair in love and war," Jason innocently, like a kid smiled, and leaned over to plant a kiss on my lips, that were sticky from the cake frosting. "Mhm, sweet."

Pushing him away by his shoulder, another giggle accepted past my lips. "You're such a dork."

"A dork who's madly in love with you."

Gasping, I pretended to be shocked. "I thought Jason Mccann doesn't know what love is?"

Giving me that look, he pushed me down on the blanket and supporting himself on this forearms, he leaned over me. "Maybe the old Jason, but this one is so in love with you," he placed several discarded kisses all around my face.

This was pure bliss. It couldn't get any better than this. This was going to be one of the memories I will remember until the day I die.

Grabbing ahold of his shirt collar, I pulled him down for a proper kiss. Every kissed shared with Jason, no matter how long or short, held so much love and passion. His kisses were definitely my drug and I couldn't seem to get enough of them.

However the beautiful moment was ruined the moment when his phone started blaring loudly from inside his shoe. Groaning, he pulled away and reached over for the ringing device. "What?" he asked in an annoyed tone. Sitting up, I rolled on my stomach and decided to play with the fingers on his free hand. Long and thick.

"No, I can't," he respond and looked down at me. A smile automatically making it's way on his face. "I told you I fucking can't and don't call me again!" Throwing his phone down, he leaned down to kiss me, yet again. "Now, how about we go for a swim?"

The sun was setting behind the horizon. The light dimming down just like all those beautiful memories I shared with Jason.

"C'mon, c'mon," Jason ushered as he pulled me somewhere.

"Jason," I giggled, holding onto his hand for dear life. "How am I supposed to go faster if I can't see anything?"

Suddenly stopping, Jason let go off my hand. "Oh right. Here," hooking one of his arms behind my knees, he placed the other one below my arms, so he would be carrying me bride style.

"Are you going to tell me where you're taking me?" I questioned for the tenth time since he kidnapped me, my arms wrapped around his neck for support.

"No, it's a surprise," he answered back. "Now shush. We're almost there anyways."

Settling on just being quiet and not asking any more questions, I let jason carry me to wherever he was taking me. After maybe, five minutes of walking, he stopped and slowly placed me down on my feet.

Turning me around, so my back was to his front, he reached up to undo the bandanna he wrapped around my eyes to act like a blindfold. "I hope you like it," he whispered behind me and completely took of the makeshift blindfold.

I was met with the most beautiful sight in front of me. There in front of us stood a wooden cabin with fairy lights stringed all across the patio. The sun was setting in the background, making everything look so magical and beautiful. Turning around, I didn't waste any time in wrapping my arms around Jason's neck and planting a kiss on his lips.

"Thank you," I breathed out once we pulled apart. "It's beautiful."
