"What Are We?"

Pein

It had been about a week since Pein and I had confessed our feelings to each other. We continued working together, but the atmosphere felt awkward to me. Pein acted like nothing happened, like confessing was just another conversation. I was confused, I thought telling him my feelings would make us closer. I needed to know what our relationship was.

"Leader." I suddenly interrupted the quiet environment that surrounded our paperwork. 

"Yes, (Y/n)?" He asked, keeping his eyes on his work. 

"What are we?" I replied. 

Pein looked up, unsure of what I meant. "Well.. We're shinobi in an organization that will bring peace to this world and-"

"No, I mean... What are we.. With our relationship." I clarified, trying to use the correct words. 

Pein started thinking again. "Hm, until a week ago, I thought of myself as a god and you were my faithful follower. Now, I think I'd like to make you my (Godess/God), instead."

I blushed at his answer. He didn't even seem fazed by his statement. 

"Oh, o-okay." I stuttered, unsure if that made us an official couple. 

"It'd be an honor if you'd agree." Pein stated, waiting for my answer. 

"Yes, I accept." I happily took the offer.

"Good, then that answers your question." Pein said with a small smirk before returning to his work. I smiled to myself as I did the same.

Konan

Konan had been leaving me little paper hearts ever since the day we confessed our feelings. However, she hardly ever talked to me at the base anymore. It honestly felt like she was avoiding me. That's it, I'm going to figure out what the problem is..!

Stopping Konan on the way to her room, she gave a soft smile as she greeted me.

"Hello, (Y/n)." She said.

I prevented her from continuing. "Konan, what are we? You said you like me, but now you never talk to me. It seems like you're avoiding me and I'm really confused."

"I apologize, (Y/n)." She replied gently. "I didn't mean to avoid you, or hurt your feelings."

I sighed. "It's alright, but I need to know what our relationship is."

Konan's mouth gaped slightly at the sudden question. "I.. I don't know what we are.."

"In that case, do you wanna be my girlfriend?" I asked, getting a sudden burst of confidence.

Her cheeks tinged pink, but she smiled brightly. "Yes, of course!" She accepted, quickly pulling me into a hug. It took me a moment to process that she agreed, but I hugged back, a large smile on my face.

Itachi

"(Y/n). What are we?" Itachi suddenly asked as we sat in a village cafe during a mission.

"Wha-? I don't know? People?" I replied, confused on what he was talking about.

He pinched the bridge of his nose. "No, I mean what are we? We confessed our feelings, but we don't do anything romantic with each other."

"Ummm, what kind of romantic things are you wanting to do..?" I asked cautiously.

Itachi's face remained blank, but he sank behind the collar of his cloak. "Nothing bad.. I just want to be more like a couple.."
