Confessing!

Pein

"(Y/n), this is the seventh time I've had to tell you to stop staring in a span of thirty minutes." Pein said to me as he looked up from his paper, placing his pen down. "I need to know what continues to distract you."

"You." I immediately blurted out, instantly regretting it and slamming my hands over my mouth. 

Pein raised an eyebrow. "Me? How so?"

I couldn't think of a way to get out of the situation. I'll just be honest, he can probably tell if I lie..

"You're very interesting to look at, Leader." I admitted. "I.. I like you a lot, honestly."

Pein stared at me for a moment as he thought. Then he returned to his work, a small chuckle escaping his lips. 

"I like you too, (Y/n), but don't let me be a distraction. Finish your work." He ordered. I nodded quickly as a blush spread across my face. Leader actually likes me!

Konan (Her POV)

Hmm? What's this? A trail of paper flowers led down the hall, stopping at my bedroom door. Is someone in there?

Slowly, I turned the handle, cautiously pushing the door open. The room was shadowed with darkness. Turning on a light, I found more paper flowers on my bed surrounding a heart shaped envelope. Unsure of what I was going to find in the envelope, I opened it away from my body. A letter was inside, reading:

Konan,

Don't be alarmed, it's a friend. I have a surprise for you! 

Meet me at the lake at 9:30, by the large tree that has yellow leaves right now.

I'll be sad if you don't come :(

Looking at my clock, I realized I had fifteen minutes to get to the tree. Confused, I left the base and walked to the lake. Scanning the area, I couldn't find anything suspicious. Suddenly, (Y/n) walked out from behind the tree holding a bouquet of blue roses. They stuck them out to me, their cheeks tinged red.

"Konan, I've decided to tell you something very important and slightly embarrassing." (Y/n) mumbled. They paused to gather their courage, thrusting the roses in my hand. "I like you. A lot!"

Taking the roses, I smiled, then kissed their cheek. "Thank you, I like you a lot, too. You did a fabulous job, by the way." (Y/n) blushed even more as a smile spread across their face.

Itachi

I sat in the base living room, reading a book about weapons when I felt a pair of eyes on me. Looking around the room, I couldn't see anyone. Shrugging, I went back to studying. 

"(Y/n)." A voice sternly called my name, causing me to jump quickly, nearly falling off the couch. Regaining my composure, I looked around until my eyes met Itachi. 

"Sup, Itachi." I called out with a wave, laying back down and opening my book. 

"Put the book down, I need to tell you something." Itachi ordered, but I waved him off.

"Nah, I'm studying. Just say it, I'll listen."

"No, I need your attention."

"Itachi, you can literally get the attention of any person you wanted, why do you need mine?" I sighed, refusing to look away from the picture in the book.
