(This is being written on my phone, please forgive any grammar/spelling mistakes that may occur. It will be very short, as this is a snippet from the future.)

Julian's POV, twenty years after.

He was beginning to realise how far down in his memory he'd buried his teenage years. A desperate attempt to escape the inevitable and focus on something entirely fictional and futuristic.

Julian was certainly in no hurry to remember any of those times but unfortunately, an old friend from the past had those memories crashing down upon him like a tidal wave.

He hated it.

He hated having to remember any of it.

He hated her for coming back into his life.

Julian leaned back in his chair, arms crossing over his chest in a defensive, closed off manner. His brown eyes narrowed at the girl - no, woman, sitting on the other side of the table.

She was still as beautiful as ever, but her eyes had lost that shine, that twinkle that never failed to spread a smile across Julian's face. The dimpled, beaming grin that had seemed to be plastered onto her face, was now replaced by a frown.

Julian couldn't help but wonder what had happened to change her so.

He shook his head to rid himself of those unwelcome thoughts, he was not here to dwell on the appearance of the woman.

She shifted, visibly uncomfortable at the intensity of Julian's glare. Sighing, he rubbed a hand over his face and glanced around the small cafe that they had chosen to meet in.

He slid his attention back over to her, this time keeping the expression of disdain and hatred that was surely all over his face.

"Do you know what I've proven myself capable of in the past 20 years?" Julian finally asked, his voice far more stoic than he intended.

She but her lip and cast her gaze downward, her hands gripping the mug of coffee in her hands so hard Julian thought it might break under the pressure.

"I... Julian, I wanted to apologize-"

"That doesn't answer my question." Julian cut her off, once again crossing his arms over his chest.

She hesitated before nodding, "Yes, yes, I know."

He watched her for a few moments, before saying in a deliberately slow voice, "Then how in the fuck did you think it wise to come here alone, hasn't daddy told you anything about me?"

Her eyes flicked to the entrance doors to the cafe, as if contemplating the idea of running away. Julian wouldn't stop her, if that's what she chose to do.

Before she had the chance to respond, an employee approached their table, her blue eyes flicked in between them, sensing the clear tension between the two customers.

"Uh, is there anything else I can get for either of you?" The blonde looked slightly uncomfortable at having two sudden pairs of dark eyes gazing at her.

"No, thank you..." He paused, checking her name tag, "Lia, this coffee will be just fine."

She nodded and gave him a small smile before turning her attention to the other girl, "What about you? Would you like anything else?"

The woman across the table shook her head and smiled nervously, "No thanks."

Lia nodded and walked away, leaving the two in a tense silence.

Three minutes had passed before she finally spoke.

"Julian, you can't honestly think I'd believe what they're saying? I know it's not true."

Julian stared at her, keeping his face blank even as his heart raced. For some reason, an icy rage washed over him, coursing through his veins and filling his head until barely any stable thoughts raced through the back of his mind.

All he could focus on was the unyielding anger that filled him. Julian leaned forward, bracing himself on his elbows and glaring at the wide eyed girl in front of him.

"I am what you made me, I am what your decisions and actions made. This is your doing."
