I panted as I blocked a blow from Alex and swung at her, but she blocked me as well, so I just let her pop me one because I was exhausted. Of course she gets a cheap shot and hits me right in the stomach, knocking the wind out of me, and I fall to my knees, holding my stomach and attempting to regain my breath. I've been cleared from my concussion and my dad, grandpa, and Alex are helping me with self defense. I was drenched in sweat, Alex was drenched in sweat, and my dad wore a frown on his face as I sat up on my knees to look at everyone, pushing my hair out of my face, they were making me try it with my hair down because I don't always wear my hair up. That and Alexis stole all my hair ties at practice earlier. Alex has been a real big help these past few weeks, our schedules are so different at school that we can't walk together, but she has forged some kind of 'walk with Y/N' thing among the team, so I always have someone to walk with. It doesn't completely eliminate the bullying, but it's been a while since I was cornered in the bathroom.
"What was that, Y/N?" My dad asks as Alex offers her hand, and I take it in mine, allowing her to help me back onto my feet.
"I believe that move is called getting my ass kicked." I say, still panting.
"We're doing this so that'll stop."
"I'm tired dad. My arms hurt, and doing this every day isn't healthy. I need a day to rest between these sessions."
"The soccer team doesn't take a day off between practices." My father argues and I sigh.
"This is more demanding than soccer, Dad." I say and he sighs.
"Fine. We'll get back at it on Friday." He says and I sigh. "Go do your homework." He says and both Alex and myself quickly escape into the house.
"You alright?" Alex asks and I nod.
"Yeah. Just tired and sore. And hungry. Definitely hungry." I say and she chuckles.
"Well come on, I'll take you to get some food." She says and I sigh.
"You know we're going to have dinner here."
"And you know I can't stay, my family has some kind of event that everyone needs to be at. I'm late as it is. Let me take you out to eat." Alex says and I smirk.
"Asking me out, Morgan? Little late for that, you know I'm taken." I tease, laughing as Alex rolls her eyes at me. "Let me go change shirts."
"Nope, no time, come on." She says, so I shrug, following her out to her car, getting in with her and just enjoying the ride to McDonalds. It was close to our houses, and Alex was in a hurry.
"Thank you for the food, Alex." I say, getting out of the car with my food and drink.
"The most I can do after knocking you on your ass."
"Knees, not my ass. My knees." I correct and she chuckles.
"Go away." She says and I nod.
"Yes, ma'am." I say before heading across the street to my house and heading up to my room to eat, do my homework, and get a shower so I can go to sleep.

I had no partner to walk with today, because the team was away for a game, and I had to stay because I had an orthodontist appointment, so as I'm washing my hands in the bathroom before I head to lunch, I sigh as I hear the bathroom door lock behind me, looking in the mirror to see the three Lacrosse captains standing there.
"Alone at last. Your annoying soccer girls aren't here to protect you today." The senior captain says and I sigh.
"Do you ever get tired of being a cunt?" I ask and she glares at me.
