The Story of Koneko Toujou Volume 2

Ch 4 - When Chains Of Command Fall

Azazel wakes up after being out cold for four days straight. When he starts to move Irina yells 'Gremory'. The whole household is instantly in the room teleporting in from where everyone was at. The house had been updated for security since the attack. The only way into the room was to teleport into it. Azazel was still hurt but not as bad. There are some wounds that not even Asia was able to heal. Lord Michael and Sir Zechs was standing there waiting for Azazel to brief them but was giving him harm.

"I'm sorry guys. Kokabiel broke out of his prison and has started a war among the fallen angels. I thought with Issei's help that I could squash things before it got too far out of hand." Azazel announced to everyone.

"Well, my household will protect the town and the school. Sir Michael I think it's about time to give Issei the weapon." Sir Zechs says.

"I believe you are right Zechs." Michael said.

Issei was confused as was the rest of the household. They didn't know what could be given to Issei to make him more powerful. Michael pulls out of his pocket an orb.

"This will make your multiply ten fold instead of your normal doubling for your sacred gear. I ask that you and the red dragon accept it. I must warn you though it will hurt fusing it with the sacred gear." Michael said.

The red dragon sacred gear appeared on it's own accord on Issei's arm.

"I will bear the pain if my partner will. Issei has made a pact with me and I agree to any terms he sets if it will help him and me to reach his full potential." The Red Dragon said.

Issei took the orb and looked at the Red Dragon.

"Are you ready for this Drake?" He asked the Red Dragon.

"Ready as ever partner. Sorry you have to go through pain to become stronger." Drake said.

"If it's to protect my wife and kids along with my friends and family, it's worth the pain." Issei says out loud to where everyone can hear him.

Koneko has tears in her eyes as Issei holds the orb in front of himself. As soon as Issei touches his chest with the orb, it absorbs into his body. Issei collapses to the ground letting out a shriek of pain as the pain courses through his body. Koneko goes to run to his side but Rias grabs a hold of her and pulls her back and doesn't let go as Koneko fights to get free.

"You don't know what will happened. Best for you to stay back. Don't forget about the baby." Rias says.

Your body started to glow a brilliant red. Rias thinking something bad was going to happened teleported out of the room with Koneko. Just as soon as they got out of there, a loud bang sounded and a shockwave riddled through out the room making everyone fly backwards into the walls. When everyone got up and looked, you were in your balance breaker form. This time though the armor was thicker and had spikes protruding from it. Akeno approached carefully and knelt beside Issei.

"He's out cold. Asia and Irina hurry. His lifeforce is dropping quick." Akeno yelled.

They rush to Issei's side and start healing him as quick as possible hoping that they aren't to late. Issei coughs up blood. Grayfia comes over with a rag and cleans the blood off of his face and mouth. She looks up at Sir Zechs with a look of fear on her face. Sir Zechs had a look of guilt on his face and hoped that Issei would survive the process. He knew that there was a possibility that it could kill him. Now time would only tell. All they could do is wait.
