The next morning, I had a text from Gavin.
I have a business meeting. I'll be away for a few days. Can we go out when I come back?
Sure
I replied and put my phone down. I got up and dressed in comfortable clothes. Grabbing my camera and purse, I decided to go out and get some pictures.
Tom and Gavin were both gone so I had nothing to do for about a week, that is, I only had my work to do. I took enough pictures to fill a whole album.
On the night of the ninth day, I got a text from Gavin.
Getting on a plane for London tonight.
So I'll see you tomorrow?
Yes

The next day, I woke up to a knock at my door.
"Who's there?" I called.
"It's me, Gavin. I was coming up to see if you wanted to go out today. You can bring your camera, that way you're getting work done too."
I shuffled out of the bed and threw on a sweatshirt over my cami.
I poked my head through the door. "Let me get dressed and I'll be right out." I said.
Man, Gavin must be really excited to see me if he has to wake me up in the morning to do so, I thought to myself. I shrug and get dressed anyway. I put on some jeans and an orange t-shirt on and open the door. Rubbing my eyes, I greeted Gavin properly.
"Good morning." I yawned.
"Good morning sleeping beauty." he said. I smiled at his cliche greeting. "So I was thinking that we could get breakfast somewhere besides the hotel."
"Sounds good." I said. "Anywhere particular?"
"Yeah. It's only a few blocks from here. You don't mind if we walk, do you?"
"No, I love to take early morning walks." I replied.
Gavin and I walked for a while, and I wondered if we would ever get to the breakfast place he claimed he was leading me to.
We ended up going down a short rocky path that led to a little green restaurant. I figured there would be almost no one in it because it seemed so small and isolated. I was surprised when I saw that there were people at almost every table.
"I have a reservation." Gavin told the waitress. He told her his name and she nodded, grabbing two menus. She led us to a table and Gavin pulled the chair out for me. After I sat down, he took his own seat.
"This place is really cool." I said once we were looking through the menu. There were a lot of choices for breakfast, but I noticed a note that said they served lunch for breakfast too.
"I think I'll have a burger..." I said, looking through the options. They had some really good ones and I couldn't pass up this chance.
"Burgers for breakfast?" Gavin asked. He looked up from his menu and raised his eyebrows.
I shrugged. "I'm American. What do you expect." I said, making Gavin laugh.
When the waiter came, we ordered, but he came back shortly saying that a man from another table ordered me a drink. He pointed to a handsome guy who looked around my age, and he winked at me.
"Well that's ni-" I began, but Gavin interrupted me.
"That's totally unnecessary. Tell him he can have his drink back she doesn't want it." Gavin said aggressively.
