Max's fearful blue eyes pierced through Amelia's dark sunglasses, as he tries to escape. His feet vigorously moved back and forth, as Amelia's pale fingers jammed into his windpipe.
The sun's fierce glare made her sunglasses shimmer like stars.
"W-what the hell?" sputtered Max.
Turning her gaze to Oliver, Amelia asked if she can kill Max.
"No," he answered firmly. "you can't kill him."
Her thin eyebrows scrunched up in disgust; her eyes pounced on Oliver, then back at Max.
"Can I please kill him, Olly?" she whined.
"It's been awhile since I had a meal."
Seeing Max's purple face, Amelia licked her pearly white teeth with the tip of her tongue.
Oliver hesitantly took a step towards the vampire, then darts his eyes around the area, making sure that they weren't being watched.
Thankfully, the coast is clear, but it didn't make him feel any better.
His best friend is losing control of her thirst, Oliver had the worst day of school, and he wanted to go home.
"Amelia, I'm being serious." urged Oliver.
"Please, just stop. I'm fine."
"But Olly-"
"Release him, Amelia!"
Reluctantly, she released her grip and watch Max choking on his saliva.
"There," Amelia spat, "happy now?"
When Oliver didn't answer, Amelia removed her sunglasses and stared down at the disgruntled jock.
Behind her beautiful shades, are glowing toffee colored eyes, with tints of green brightening her irises.
Pulling himself to his feet, Max tried to run towards his car, but Amelia blocked the door with her left hand.
"Listen, Max. That's your name, right?"
"Y-yeah," answered Max timidly, "what about it?"
Amelia made two graceful steps towards the scared jock, and gently brushed his cheek with her left hand.
"I'm sorry," she said sweetly. "I barely even know my own strength."
The tone of Amelia's voice sounded like a perfect blend of a beautiful singer and a soft-spoken mother.
It rang in the bully's ears, like church bells, but the minute her voice sinks into Max's brain, his pupils began to dilate.
"It's fine."
"Are you sure?" asked Amelia, concerned.
"Yes."
"That's good," she beamed.
"However-"
"Yes?"
"I want you to do something for me. Can you do that?"
Max bobbed his head up and down.
"First of all, you are not to tell a soul to anyone," instructed Amelia, looking directly at him.
"Not to the police, your friends, or your family."
Max nods again, his eyes remained on hers.
"Second, never hurt, or allow blokes to harm my precious Olly. If it happens again, I will hunt you down and beat the bloody crap out of you."
