First 3 years of school

When I was little things were still okay and normal. Except for a few little things.
First of all my sister always hurt me when we were small.
When I was 2 years old she pushed me off the stairs, she cut my hair really short and I was called a boy for a long time. When I was 3 she hit me with a serving plate while we were out for dinner.

Due to this I never liked coming home so I always wanted to play with friends at their house.

When I went to school things were also quite allright except for one bully who sometimes forced me to eat sand out of the sandbox or made me trip. But he never did anything else.

This was how the my first 2 years at school went as a toddler. At some point I even got a little brother and things were just okay.

However in my third year mom wanted to speak to me with me:
"Anna, sit down I want to tell you something."
My father wasn't home since he was a truckdriver and he still is to this day.
"What's going on mom?"
"Maybe you heard that things weren't going well at your fathers company and now we heard that it will close down. So your father found a new job but it is too far away to drive from here. So we decided to move."
"What...?"

I really didn't want to move since I had friends there but ofcourse it was not my choice and it couldn't be helped. We moved from a small village with 1 supermarket and a few little stores to a way bigger village. It really felt like a city to me though.

I came into my new class just after winter vacation. During the lessons things were easy for me because I already learned the things they were learning. The first day when I went to the school playground during break, a girl was waiting for me at the gate and when she saw me she immediately walked up to me and asked:
"Your name is Anna right? Want to be friends?"
"Yeah, sure. What's your name?"
"Jill."

So my start at my new school went pretty good and I actually got along with quite a lot of people.

Then after a few weeks they started teasing me, calling me a "brilsmurf", which literaly means "glasses smurf".
It is a much used word here and they said it since I just got my first glasses at the time. After that things started getting a little worse.
"Nerd."
"Ugly."
"Weirdo."
"You stink."
Then after a while they sometimes started getting physical.
Suddenly pushing me against the wall before I walked inside the school or locking me inside a circle and pushing and hitting me.

Jill always stood up for me and sometimes even caught hits for me. Which resulted into that they also started bullying her.

This went on for the rest of the year and then it was summer break. Most of the summer I played outside with Jill and sometimes we would see the bullies from school and they would call us things but we would just go on with whatever we were doing and ignore them.

Hi, here the girl behind all this. ☺
These were the first 3 years of my school career and at this point I wasn't scared of going to school but ofcourse I also didn't want to go there.
I never could have guessed how much things could change again starting year 4.

Thank you for reading my story.
Bye and untill my next post.
