Okay, okay, okay, but what if. There was a mermaid trapped in a lake, a water fall that leads up a cliff, and was surrounded by a thicket. She made flower crowns daily and sung about, her only friends being the wild animals that stumbled upon here secret oasis. And for the longest time, her one dream was to see every kind of flower there was. A world traveler would attempt to visit the mermaid as much as possible. Each time returning with a different bushel of flowers. He'd sit at the top of the cliff and drop the flowers. One by one, letting them float down and drift on the lake's surface. He'd just sit there and watch as the mermaid would cheerfully grab each flower and watch her enchanted expressions. Each time he returns he began to think of her more and more. But the thing is, the mermaid doesn't know who is bringing here these beautiful flowers.
Kinda creepy I know but it was just a random thought.
