(PLEASE NOTE!! I'm sorry if this is not how depression works, I didn't do any research and I don't mean to offend people at all. I will take this down immediately if need be)

Her blank stare was glued to her paper. Listening intently to those around her. The girl's classmates chatted cheerfully with each other. Very few approached the girl, trying to stick with the group of friends they had which was pure instinct. She lifted her head, observant eyes stalking her peers. To her, she could read them all like a book. Having known them for years it was obvious as to what they were feeling. For example, the tall male with dirty blonde hair and emerald green eyes. He had dark bags that sagged from his eyes. A fake smile plastered on his face. He was blatantly depressed. A bandage slipped past the bottom of his sleeve which was quickly pulled back with out notice. Except for the eagle-eyed girl. The girl remember how chipper this male was when they were younger. He didn't acknowledge her existent like every one else though.

"I'll be right back you guys go on ahead without me." The dirty blonde haired male said. His companions nodded and kept walking without him. The single male turning and walking the other direction down the corridor. This peaked the curiosity of the girl. Causing her to follow the depressed boy. The female followed him silently, even her footsteps couldn't be heard. She lagged behind him so she wouldn't be seen.

The depressed boy made his way up to the roof of the building. He stumbled over to the edge. His hands encasing the railing as his upper body leaned over. Gazing at the pavement that was at the bottom where he would soon meet his end. The teen dug a crumpled note out of his pocket and held it close to his chest with one hand.

"Hey." The girl finally decided to say. Making herself visible to the male. He jumped and whipped around to face the owner of the voice.

"H-Hi..." He stuttered out. Not sure what to make out of this situation.

"Mind if I ask you a few questions before you jump?" The boy gulped

"Aren't you going to try and stop me?" He asked expectantly.

"Maybe, it really depends if you want me to or not," There was a moment of silence, "Do you have loving parents?" She asked

"I mean yeah...I guess." The teen said.

"Good good. What about your friends? What do you think of them?"

"They're decent friends I suppose..." He mumbled.

"What makes them decent rather than good or great?"

"They never really ask me how my life is going. And they pick on me."

"Let me guess," The girl began, slowly making her way to the males side, "Your to scared to stand up to them. Maybe thinking that they'll abandon you." He nodded "What about your love life? Ever dated anyone, are you dating someone?"

"Never dated before." He admitted, turning back to the railing.

"Well, if you decide to live, I bet you'll find you soulmate. And have you ever tried internet friends? And if people at school are treating you badly try homeschooling or go to a different school."

"I can't just...do that..." The girl nodded, not responding to that.

"What about siblings?" He gulped at the question.

"My older sister died in a car crash." He informed the female. A rush of guilt sweeping over him.

"I'm sorry for your loss." He nodded, "Can I ask you one more question before you know... jump." He nodded climbing over the railing. "What do you think will be solved if you jump?"

"..."

"Sure your existence will be wiped off the face of the earth but what else? Do you think your friends will just completely forget about you?" He nodded and the girl sighed, "Yeah right. I've noticed that they've become so much happier with you in their lives. And your parents, they'd be balling their eyes out if you died. They always have dinner waiting on the table right?" He turned his head away from the girl, "And is you were to die, it isn't going to bring your sister back. She would want you to live a happy life, and I should know."

"How would you know!?" He lashed out, tears streaming down his face. The girl not even flinching . The boy crawled back over the rails and attempted to grab the girls' collar. Only for his hand to phase right through her body. A warm smile appeared on her face. They boy stumbled back and fall on his butt.

"Because, I had the same problems as you. I committed suicide myself, but before when I was still alive. I talked to your sister a lot. She made me happy with the conversations we had. I was also in the car crash. But somehow I managed to live." The girl's expression turned sad and desperate although a smile was still smeared on her face. "She even told me herself that she wanted you to live a happy life."

"Y-You couldn't..." He mumbled earning a nod from the girl in return.

"That was me. Now please, don't do this." The boy looked down at his feet sadly as the girl began to disappear into thin air, "Promise me, for my sake and your sister's." The boy nodded earning a warm smile from the girl before she disappeared for good.

Later that day the same boy visited the grave of the dead girl from earlier today. A small smile on his lips. A real smile, it was an unnatural feeling to him since he's been wearing a fake one for so long. He brought the white lilies up to his chest but soon crouched down. He rested the bouquet of flowers against the beautiful marble grave stone. "Thank you."
