The story is about a woman named Zee, just at another turn point of her life she's now four decades old and without a clue who she is for the past nearly twelve years since she was twenty years old. Zee has depersonalization / realization disorder; therefore it means she can often feel out of her body as if she's watching herself or that her everyday reality feels like a movie and nothing is real. That her body isn't her's and that she's detached from her own reality due to trauma. Most days she isn't there and isn't sure where her mind is but it doesn't stop her from being the best person she can be and working her ass off.

But her life goes for a drastic and sudden change with Selena, a much younger girl with a multiple personality disorder by three other egos that go by one a six little girl : Chloe, a twenty thirty year old young woman named Katorra and a older man named Benjamin who's age is unknown. Selena doesn't often see the real world enough but when her other alters aren't there taking over she just wants to be like the other girls, going to parties, getting drunk and falling in love but instead has to balance herself on her tip toes with her alters taking over her life.
