Anyways, I hope you enjoy!!

~***~

It was just after my hours were finished and I was tired from work that same day. Instead, I picked up a cappuccino without James and Bree breathing down my neck. They already rode the bus and went home, equally exhausted as me.

"Hey, Y/N."

I clicked from my thoughts and looked up at the flushing eye patched boy and smiled.

"What's up?"

He paused before mumbling, "Umm... Are you doing anything after this...?" and he offered my coffee.

"Hmm... Nope. I was going to go straight home and maybe get started on my studies but really, I don't think I have the energy to do so anymore!" I laughed where Kaneki smiled.

"Well, in that case... you wanna rest at my place?"

The heat rose to my cheeks and without any hesitation I nodded in approval. "Sure, I'll go!! I-I mean, if you insist."

He chuckled creating my heart to melt from his cuteness.

"My curfew will be over in five minutes," he said, arranging the chairs and tables aside. I immediately lend him a hand. "You don't mind waiting, right?"

"Not at all!" I chirped and he laughed, again. "By the way, what happened to Touka?"

He gave the chair one more push, finishing the job. "She's usually up in her room doing something productive."

My eyes widened, and I looked up at the ceiling. "I didn't know her place is upstairs in Anteiku."

"Sure." Kaneki removed his tie, loosened his white shirt, and I offered him his hoodie where he gratefully tugs on. "There's many rooms up there but only for guest and staff. Anyways, shall we go?"

I smiled. "Mm-hm."

He opened the door for me and locked it behind us. I shivered feeling a gust of wind whipping past my hair.

"Damn this weather," I muttered. "It's freezing."
I was only wearing a F/C long-sleeved top that time with my jacket that I wore the previous day which somehow didn't keep me warm this time.

"Kaneki?" I asked, giving him a pouty face.

He sighed, rolling his eyes.
"Come over here," he said, reaching an arm out.

I internally squealed to myself and bear-hugged the eye patched boy where he pats my head.
"Yeah, yeah," he smirked to himself. "I know I'm the greatest."

"You sure are!" I gleamed.

He wrapped his one arm around my waist and hugged me closer. I could feel his warm steady breaths at the top of my head and I suddenly snuggled in without perceiving if this was reality or not.
He leads the way and we matched our tracks together, enjoying each other's company.

We're just friends, right? I asked myself. This does not look like we're a 'thing,' is it? I mean, that would be nice-- No no! Kaneki's not ready to date! Neither am I! Aahh!!

I shake the thoughts out of my head and discovered I recognize the street before. It was the same street I always take to Grandma's apartment.

"Kaneki, this is where you live?" I gasped in disbelief as we crossed the road.
