This story is dedicated to my bff, Marissa! she is the one who encouraged me to start a fan fic! thx a ton! Anyways, I hope you all liked Ch.1! This is my first story, so comment what you think of it! :)
Chapter 2:
I plopped on the soft couch in my living room, while the other three girls headed off to my kitchen to hunt some food out.
All I could think about were those really green eyes that looked very hurt after I snapped at that boy. It started to drive me insane because I have never been so rude to anyone in my entire life. His face kept popping up in my mind.
I tried blocking that short memory out, but sooner or later, it squirmed its way into my head again.
When Mary walked into the room holding two bags of Hot Cheetos, she noticed the concerned frown on my face. Right away, she knew something was wrong. I had to admit, this girl could sense when something was wrong in less than a second.
She handed me the bag of cheetos, while keeping one for herself and sitting down by my legs on the couch.
I stared straight into my magazine pretending to read it, but was just thinking of what happened earlier today. From the corner of my eye, I could see Mary staring at my face trying to decipher what was wrong and why I was worried and sad.
"Sooo, do you know if Syd and Nora are spending the night here too?", I asked her to get her mind off of my worried expression.
"Don't try to change the subject Kajal. I know something is wrong, and I wont leave until you tell me.", she said while crossing her arms with a stubborn look on her face.
I knew there was no point in lying because she would scavenger it out of me. Still, this was very personal to me, so I decided to make up something. I knew I would feel guilty of it afterwards because Mary told me everything. Also, among us four friends, we kept a truth policy.
With a sigh, I looked at her after closing the unread magazine. "Mary, its noth---", I start to say, but am cut off by her tired looking expression.
She says, "Kajal! It CANNOT be nothing! You have been gloomy since we got home, and I can tell something is bothering you! Do NOT lie, Kajal." Her sympathetic look made me want to burst out and tell her everything I was feeling or thinking.
Before I can start, she says "It is that wierd hooded guy that you saw at Starbucks, isn't it?"
I stared at her thinking of how she knew. Suddenly it all clicked.
Sydney was gonna get a piece of me once she got back.
At Starbucks when that boy tapped me, from the corner of my eye I saw Sydney glance at us. However she turned around right after she saw him talk to me. I wondered if she heard what he said to me. I guess not, because I knew that Mary would tell me.
"Heeelllloooo!!!!", Mary said as she waved her hand in front of my surprised face.
"Wha-What?", I said, still shocked.
"You heard me Kay," she said, using my nickname that they made up for me in 6th grade, when we first met.
"Ya!", I said feeling super guilty that I wasn't going to tell her before. She noticed this, and quickly said, "It's OK. However, you should have told me. I trust you, so you should trust me too."
"Sorry about that", I said embarrassed. "Well, this is what happened..."
After I finished telling her the whole story, she looked dumbfounded.
That look made me wish I was dead. I knew that look and it wasn't good. I was in major trouble...
