Marinette stepped glumly into the room. She slumped into her chair next to her best friend.

"Hi Mari-oh," Alya stopped halfway through her sentence. "What's wrong," She whispered as she scooted closer to Marinette.

"Nothin" She sniffled. Alya's expression melted with concern.

"Girl, I know something's up, and as your bff you gotta tell me, okay?" Marinette unsurely raised her head and took a deep breath.

"AdrienLikesAnotherGirlAndHeReallyLikesHerSoThatMeansThatHeDoesn'tLikeMeWhichProbablyMeansHeHatesMeAndNeverEverWantsToTalkToMeEverAgainEspeciallySinceI'mSuchAbigClutzAndHeSavedMeFromAcarHitThisMorningAnd-

"Woah, woah, woah," Alya motioned her hands. "He saved you?! How romantic!" She clasped her hands together. "I mean...

Marinette's eyes watered. "Why did I even bother?" She collapsed into her arms and started sobbing. A few heads started to turn in her direction, but Alya shot death glares making everyone turn their gaze back to the rambling teacher.

"Marinette, I'm sorry," She stroked her back compasionately. "You know what? Maybe you misunderstood, I'm sure Adrien still holds a place for you in his heart."

Marinette looked up with a dead look in her eyes.

"Sure, maybe," She got out of her seat. "Tell the teacher I went to the bathroom," But Alya grabbed her sleeve.

"Alya please," She sighed. "Let go I'm fine," Alya looked back at her pleadingly.

They shared a moment of silent pleads.

"Is something wrong," The teacher called out. "Ms Marinette why are you out of your seat?" Marinette started to silently hyperventilate as all eyes turned to face her.

"I-

"... just stretching," Alya called out.

"Nurse!" Marinette sputtered simultaneously.

The teacher raised a brow. "Well, which is it?"

"Nurse," Marinette repeated. "I don't feel well."

"Well, you certainly do look a bit red," She scribbled down her name on a yellow slip. "Here, a pass to the nurse," Marinette feigned a smile and took the slip.

Alya raised her hand.

"Yes?" The teacher said in an annoyed tone.

"I need to go to the bathroom!" Alya slapped her hand on the table. "It's an emergency."

The teacher wasn't buying it, but she didn't care enough to stop her.

"Okay go ahead," She stated bluntly. Alya ran out of the room.

"Marinette! Marinette!" She called out to her friend.

"Leave me alone," She murmured.

"We both know that that isn't what you want," She said as she hugged her tight. Marinette returned the hug and whimpered into her shoulder.

"Shhh sh, it's okay," Alya stroked her back. "Now tell me, how did you find out he liked someone else?"

"Well, he told me that he needed to cancel an event in order to help a sick friend," She sniffled. "He said that he was sure that the event could wait because the girl was really understanding,"

"Well that doesn't prove anything," Alya insisted. "Why don't you talk to him,"

Marinette pulled back from the hug.

"But you know how that's gonna go," She complained.

"Then I'll talk to him,"

"But..."

"It's fine, everything will work out," Alya smiled warmly.

"Thank you Alya," Marinette jumped in for another hug. "What would I do without you?"

Alya wiped her teary cheeks with her thumb,

"That's what friends are for," She smiled. "Come, let's get back to class before the teacher thinks I got stuck in the toilet,"

Marinette giggled. "Or that I died at the nurse,"

"Ata girl! That's more like it!" She playfully punched her shoulder. The girls walked back to class.

Woo! I loved writing this chapter! It's the least I can do while I'm sitting gloomily in the car. So I had this very important appointment so I had to miss school, turns out, the darn nurses didn't appoint me in the system so they're all like, "Sorry, come back tomorrow!" I'm like, 'seriously?!?!?!' Now I gotta miss school tomorrow as well, I'm so pissed out. This will be the third day in the row! It's so hard to catch up! And I'll have to wait till MONDAY! I'm so annoyed.
