Chapter 8 - 'This Is Awkward' - Jungkook

I gave a questioning expression, and asked, "Huh? What makes you think that?"
Rap Monster oppa came to my left ear and whispered to me. He whispered, "He gets a bit weird when it comes to cute girls like you."

I gasped in disbelief, and asked, "Seriously? Why would he be?"
Rap Monster oppa replied with a smirk, "Well, just look at yourself. If you noticed earlier, he's actually taller than you. Plus, he once said he likes girls who are shorter than him. You're pretty lucky to have him, though."

I gave him a weird expression, and said, "Ugh, that's okay. I prefer Jungkook oppa even more. After all, I'm actually his old friend."
"Ooh, wait...WHAT!!" Rap Monster oppa shouted. I was shocked and quickly shut his mouth with my hand.
Suddenly, Jin oppa asked us with a sharp stare, "What are you two doing?"

I was embarrassed about what I did, and so did Rap Monster oppa. So I let his mouth go, and both of us said in unison, "Sorry."
Then I quickly said, "But anyway, you gotta go now. It's 11.00 p.m already."

All of the boys looked at their phones and watches. Then, Suga oppa said, "Alright, then. We gotta go now. And Diana, please take good care of Jungkook, okay?"
"Don't worry, Suga oppa. You can count on me, and don't you ever worry about a thing," I said, confidently.

All of them left, while Jimin oppa said, "I want to go to the bathroom for a while."
I simply replied, "Okay."

While Jimin oppa went into the bathroom, I lied down next to Jungkook oppa. I rubbed his forehead and said, "I hope you get well soon, my friend."

Third Person's POV

In Jungkook's sleep, he dreamt...

~Jungkook's dream~

In Jungkook's dream, it's about Diana (8 years old), looking after him (11 years old), at his room. [Obviously, this dream was a flashback in 2008.]
Diana spoke up. "Don't worry, Oppa. I hope you get well soon."
Suddenly, Jungkook said in his dream, "I'm curious, Diana. Why are you willing to take care of me here all night?" He was bewildered.

Diana chuckled a bit. Jungkook asked, "What's so funny?"
She said, "Because this is the sign that I love you. I hope that our relationship together as siblings and best friends will last forever until we die."
Jungkook was touched to hear what she said to him. So, he asked, "You won't leave me behind, right?"

Diana smiled, then she said, "Of course I won't, Oppa. But if I do, I'll always be in your heart. Okay?"
"Okay, I'll promise that." He said, shedding tears.

~Dream ended~

The dream went back to reality.

Diana's POV

Then I kissed him, then Jungkook oppa suddenly moved, as if he was having a nightmare. I also saw his tears began to fall.
I was shocked to see his reaction, so I quickly calmed him down, "Shh, it's okay. There's nothing to worry about. I'm here for you, baby. Please don't cry."

Moments later, he stopped moving and went calmly back to sleep. I bet he really missed me after 6 years of separation. Spontaneous, I hugged him in my sleep.

Jungkook's POV

~the next morning~

According to my phone clock, I used to wake up at 8.30 a.m. But while I was waking up from my sleep, I saw someone next to me on my bed. It was the 16-year-old girl.

"This is awkward," I said to myself. She must be sleeping overnight just to take care of me. I was about to scream in shock, but luckily, not so loud.
