Chapter 16 - The Surprise On Stage To The Backstage

Diana's POV

It's like a quiz to me, who will be going up onto the stage tonight? It's full of suspense!
The BTS were discussing something. Perhaps it's about the lucky ARMY who will go up.

At last, Jungkook oppa announced, "Alright, I'm going to call out Diana Olivia Henderson to come up to the stage."
I was shocked until a flash of the spotlight shone on to me. The rest of the ARMYs looked so surprised. Finally, they cheered!

Until then, one of them said to me loudly, "Wow, she's so lucky! Hey girl, come on! Go up there!"
Then, another one said, "Go, girl! Fighting!"

Finally, I walked rapidly to the staircase and climbed up to the stage.
Then, Jungkook oppa reached out his hand to me, "Come on, baby! Let me help you," he said.
He's a gentleman!

I looked around the whole arena, then a microphone came to my hand.
I voiced out, "Uhm, thank you, oppa. I-"

Suddenly, I heard some girls screamed from the middle of the crowd. They were my school friends; Inaya and the classmates of 10 United.
"Wow, it's Diana! Woo!!! Hi, Diana!!" They screamed.

I smiled a bit, then I returned to the BTS.
Jungkook oppa said to me, "Diana, do you remember what I said about the surprise?"

"Yes, I do. What's wrong with that?" I asked in confusion. The ARMYs screamed some more.
He smiled, then he said, "Actually, this is the surprise. But that's not all."

He turned around to get something from his pocket. It was the pure emerald ring.
Oh, so that's why he got frustrated about the ring. How greedy! I thought.

The ARMYs screamed with excitement, then Jungkook oppa voiced out for more, "So, Diana. Is it okay if I spread everything about you to the whole world?"
He really spoke like a true gentleman. OMG, that's so charismatic!
"Yes, just do it!" I said, full of the agreement. All in the arena screamed as loudly as they could to cheer.

So, Jungkook began his words with his whole heart and soul.

"Diana, when I first met you since we were young, I fell in love with you. Although we are three years indifference, I don't care at all because love doesn't count any ages. Plus, that's why I like to bother you a lot in school-"

Suddenly, the ARMYs screamed out so loud, so Jin oppa warned them.
"Shh, please calm down, everyone! I know all of you are so excited, but please be patient!"

Jungkook oppa thanked him, then he continued, "And it's also because I like you so much. Why? It's because you're beautiful, cute, talented, cheerful, and you're always the best to be with. Since we had all the memories of what we did together, I always thought somehow will do the same thing every day. But I couldn't, I just couldn't. It's all because of your fall in the early years-"

Jungkook oppa's words suddenly stopped, and tears fell on his face. Suddenly, the ARMYs chanted, "Please don't cry, please don't cry..."

The BTS noticed his condition, too, so they came to him and comforted.

Actually, it's my fault for leaving alone in the early years. Oh God, what have I done? I was so guilty. I thought.
While the BTS was still comforting Jungkook oppa, I voiced out through the microphone to the audience.

"You know, everyone. He said that because we are now adoptive siblings officially."
The whole arena shouted for an awe, so I continued, "Do you want to understand why is he crying now?"

"YES!" The audience replied.
I said, "He was upset with me for leaving him alone. So, he decided to make things right for me. And, I feel like so touched to hear what Jungkook oppa was trying to say to me. Yeah, and I felt really guilty about the past I spent with him."
