Chapter Seven

The boys were on their way to Sean's house for more researching. The run in with the janitor was scary but they had high tailed it out of there as fast as they could, making it to their last class in record time. Thankfully they saw nothing of the janitor on the way out of school.

Sean grinned, unable to hold in his joy, when Quinn's hand slowly attached to his. He felt, for the first time in his life, he felt something towards another human being. Sean was so use to just existing, that this new feeling was bazaar.

Quinn glanced towards Sean, catching him with a smile on his face, relaxed. He's never been a forward person, but with Sean it was different. He wanted to be the forward, not shy, person.

Quinn had made the decision to go to Sean's. Thankfully the other boy didn't ask any questions, just smiled and agreed. He did not want Sean at his home today. With his mother off early, things would have been strained, to say the least. It was bad enough Sean knew what happened before, he didn't want Sean to see how it was now. That would be just too much to add to a new friendship, and hopefully sometime in the near future and new relationship.

They came up to a beautiful two story home. It was yellow with white shutters and a bright red door. A clean and trimmed lawn, white pickett fence surrounding it. A few well place, and equally maintained bushes bordered the home, making it the picture of suburban perfection. When they walked in the inside was of course just as perfect and beautiful. Uncluttered, clean, and put together.

Quinn felt a pang of jealousy when his home came to mind. Why couldn't he have what Sean had? Not wanting to blame Sean for what he himself lacked, Quinn shoved his thoughts to the back of his mind and followed Sean.

Sean went to the kitchen first, to grab a snack for the two of them. When he saw both his parents at the kitchen table, he was again a little shocked. They were hardly ever home early, they were almost never home early together.

"Hey mom, hey dad." Sean said a little more chipper then usual, as the boys made their way to the table.

Quinn was a little suprised when they didnt respond. They only looked breifly to Sean and nodded, moving back to their work.

"Um, this is my friend, Quinn. He's going to help me look up some stuff."

"'Kay," his dad mumbled distractedly.

Sean shurgged and went to the fridge. He grabbed two water bottles and two apples.

The boys went upstairs and into Sean's bedroom, it seemed very much appropriate to a teenager's bedroom. A few dirty close in the corner, books and papers littering the desk and surrounding floor. The bed was made, but something told Quinn that wasnt done by choice. Maybe it was Sean's egourging to just plop down and get comfortable, not even the slightest bit upset about the sheets wrinkling and messing up.

Quinn climbed onto the bed and they began pulling out their computers and setting up.

"Ok, so the janitor, right?"

"Yeah, he was a creeper for sure."

"I didn't think he was that creepy!" Ghost said as he popped up next to Sean.
