I rolled my self to the elevator and looked behind me for Jace. "Could some one press this?" I nodded to the button.
"Of course for gimpy" Jace smirked and pressed the button
"Why must you torture your sister? She is gonna kick your butt when she's all better" she cautioned with a smile as we went into the elevator.
"Kaison can't kick my..." Jace began as he looked down to me. As he met my eyes he stopped.
"That's what I thought. Silence" I said and Clary and I busted out laughing once again as the elevator doors slid open.
Jace rolled his eyes "I knew there would be a problem when my girlfriend and sister became friends" he shook his head and tisked.
I rolled my self down the hallway and stopped at the library doors. "Now wait" I stopped Jace and Clary outside. "Clary listen closely to what you hear inside. Who is in there and what are they doing?" I asked.
Jace looked at me confused. "Training" I mouthed.
Clary quietly pressed an ear against the door. "I hear three voices. Ones definitely male the one is a girl and I can't tell the last one. I don't know what they are doing though" she sighed.
I closed my eyes and focused hard. I drowned out everything. With the angel blood in my veins I had extra powerful senses it just took some concentration to use them. My ears picked up the voices inside. I heard a female voice that was slightly rough but none the less feminine. Izzy. A voice darker and more blunt. Obviously Alec. And the last flamboyant and sarcastic. The High Warlock of Brooklyn. I could tell by their breathing that Magnus was pacing back and forth drawing closer than farther away. Izzy seemed to be near Alex though. I opened my eyes again.
"Jace want to guess or do you want me to tell you?" I asked smirking.
"Alec, Izzy, and Magnus. Magnus is pacing and Izzy and Alec are on the couch. They seem to be discussing the next party at Magnus's" he said nonchalantly.
Clarys mouth opened in disbelief. "I am not even gonna try" she said.
Jace and I shared a look and chuckled. "Don't worry you'll get there" I said and patted her shoulder reassuringly.
Jace stepped in front of me and opened the door for me holding it open. I wheeled in, my back started to ache.
"She lives!" Magnus said and sat himself down next to Alec. "How are you feeling darling?" He asked wrapping a slender arm around Alec's thin shoulders.
"I'm good" Alec answered leaning into Magnus contently.
"I was referring to Kaison but that's good my love" Magnus laughed and planted a kiss on Alec's temple.
Alec's face lit up a bright red and he turned his eyes down to the floor.
"I'm alright Magnus" I shook my head and wheeled next to Izzy. "It's hurting again but it's much better than last time. I still need the runes though" I said and looked to Jace.
"I can do that" Jace nodded and looked to Magnus "I just wanted to say... umm... thanks" he stuttered. "Sorry I am not used to the whole gratitude thing"
I shook my head and hit his leg hard "Yeah you should definitely work on that. It's a problem"
Magnus shook his head "You're welcome. Thankfully your sister is much better at gratitude"
"What can I say. I've always been the more polite twin" I shrugged and eyed Jace. "See he can't even argue that!"
We all laughed, releasing the pent up tension that had been held in the room. The rest of our conversation turned to Magnus and a party he was throwing. I wasn't big into parties but Izzy was so absorbed in it. She was asking about the guest list and decorations and correct party attire. I just sat and made faces at an uneasy Alec who was caught between the party crazed Magnus and Izzy.
