PRESENT TIME

"Have you heard the news?"

"Yes."

"How do you feel about it?"

"It's childish."

A scowl overcame my face. A hero? Ha! Funny. What comes next? Is the town's judge going to become a mermaid?

"I think it's amazing! The kingdom is thrilled! There's never been so much action and all of the younger female find the young man with a mask on quite attractive."

"It's obviously a boy that wasn't taught that super hero's don't need to be around. We have authority for a reason." I sat still with my (f/c) silk dress on. It's been my favorite for a bit now. Although, Nathaniel says that it's turning me into a snob.

Suzan shifted in her seat and took a sip of her tea. "It's almost Christmas." She said as her lips broke apart from the small glass cup."

"I'm aware." I said back.

"You should throw a ball! And it should be a masquerade ball as well! Imagine how beautiful it would be!" Suzan said with passion.

"I am not the boss of the castle. It would be up to father."

"Well of course! But your father wouldn't mind! He doesn't care for anything, really. And I'll help decorate and I'll design our dresses!" She said enthusiastically.

"Charles!" I yelled. The elderly man came at in a rush.

"Yes'm?" He asked.

"Ask father about a masquerade ball, would you?" I questioned.

He nodded and scurried to the throne room.

I looked at Suzan. "I guess that we shall see, won't we?" I said with a smirk.
