I wake to my pager beeping. I rub my eyes awake, my vision a bit hazy. I look over at Len, who’s sleeping, sitting upright. I pick up my pager.

“What do you want?” I groan tiredly.

“The Royal Dinner is in an hour!” It was Miki’s voice, screaming. My eyes widened. “Where in the world at you?!”

“At the tree.” I say.

“You have to get back to the castle RIGHT NOW!”

“Okay. I’ll be back in about fifteen minutes.”

“HURRY!”

I quickly shake Len awake.

“What?!” He bolted upright.

“Len, I have a royal dinner tonight. I have to go, right now.”

“When will I see you again?” He asked. I thought.

“How about tonight, at Ten?”

“Okay.” He says.

“See you later!” I smile and run.

I finally got to the castle; Miki was waiting outside by the drawbridge.

“Oh thank god you’re here!” She pants with exhaustion. “I ran from the dining hall to here.”

“Aren’t you supposed to get ready for your date?”

“Nah, I rescheduled it for tomorrow at seven.”

“Isn’t that the time Ted and I are going on a date?”

“Yeah!” She smiles. We walk inside and take the elevator to my room.

“You need to take a shower.” Miki observes some of the sweat on my forehead. I groan and grab a bathrobe.

“Y’know what I just noticed?”

“What?”

“Your hair is down. I put it in a new braid when you left, what’s the deal?”

“Uh…I was getting sweaty from running and stuff, so I needed to take my hair down…” I try to come up with something.

“Okay.” Miki shrugs.

“Now, you go take a bath.” She shoves me out of my room.

I walk into the bathroom and drop my robe somewhere on the floor. I start the water.

Once it’s filled, I take a bath. Rather like, I soak for ten minutes then I think about deciding to wash my hair.

When I was done, I put on my robe, squeezed out my hair, dried it, and exited.

Sweet Ann spotted me in the hall again, wearing her familiar white dress.

“What are you? Oh never mind. Get ready for the dinner in ten minutes. Pronto.” She shook her head.

I walk back into my room and I see Miki lying on her stomach on my bed, wearing a pretty black dress.

“Why aren’t you downstairs yet?”

“Waiting for you.” She smiles. I look through my closet and I find a long orange strapless dress. I shut the door and change inside my walk-in closet. When it was on, I walked out.

“What do you think?” I ask, showcasing the dress.

“Very princess-like.” She says. “Not revealing enough.” I scowl.

“Why do you want my dress to be revealing?”

“Guy magnet.” She shrugs.

“I’m wearing this, Miki.” I say promptly.
