The sun shone brightly through the rouge translucent curtains that hung in front of the small square window. The light through the curtains made the room become a red-ish colour, adding to the maroon coloured walls. Laying in a bed of all white sheets, the female with auburn hair began to stir. Groaning a bit, she would fold her arms over her face to hide from the light that illuminated the room.

As she became more awake, the female would uncover her arms from her face and scan her brown eyes across the room. This room had been unfamiliar to her, it was much different from her own. There was a chestnut mirrored dresser next to the bed, a white door - which she presumed led to a closet - was on the wall to her right, a large brown door was on the wall in front of her and to the right a bit, and then there was the window that was on the wall to the left of her.

It was quiet save the birds that chirped joyfully just out the window. The female sat up and crossed her legs under the white sheets, her auburn hair draped on either side of her face as if framing it. As she looked down at the sheets, she noticed that she was no longer in the clothes that she had left her house in. Instead, she wore a silk white night gown.

Becoming a bit panicked, the female quickly looked around the room in hopes of finding her bag. Luckily, her bag sat nicely upon the mirrored dresser with her clothes neatly folded next to it. As she exhaled a sigh of relief, the female could hear faint voices in the distance.

Curious, the female would sling her legs against the edge of the bed before standing up. Trying to be quiet, the female would tiptoe to the door and open it slowly till it was about an inch and a half wide. She would then peek out and try to hear what the voices were saying.

"You have to get rid of her!" Voice one stated in a whispered tone. The voice was a deeper voice than her own, so Caroline assumed that it had been a male's voice.

"It's almost Christmas. You know I can't do that. Besides, she'll be gone once she gets a ride home." Voice two replied to the first voice. This voice sounded familiar to the female. It was the male from the night before who had given her a ride.

"You better hope she doesn't find out about the mission or about who we really are!" Voice one seemed angered for some reason. But his statement intruiged the female; she didn't know who they were and yet she had spent the night in their house. She felt as though she was intruding, yet she wanted to know more about the male and the others in the house.

"She won't. I promise." The male sounded annoyed with voice one. "I'll make sure everything goes according to plan"

The female accidentally pressed against the door which caused it to make a moderately loud BAM sound when it closed under her weight. Upon hearing the door close, the voices stopped. The female's heart began to race, adrenaline pumped through her veins. What would happen if they caught her eavesdropping on them. What would she tell them? Hearing footsteps approaching the room, the female quickly leapt to the bed and scrambled to make it look as though she had been in bed the whole time. The footsteps grew louder, they sounded heavy upon the wooded floor. The female assumed that it was one of the two male voices footsteps that approached the room. The door creaked open as the male slowly opened it.

"Are you awake yet?" The male whispered as he creeped into the room, walking closer to the female.

"Yeah." Caroline yawned as she stretched her arms up before she pulled herself into a sitting position. She wanted it to look as though she had been sleeping and just woke up.

"Are you hungry?" The male walked over to the side of her bed and gently sat down on the bed. The mattress creaked as his body weight pushed it down as he sat. The female nodded slowly. She wasn't hungry at the moment, but she wanted to know more about him and who the other voice was.

"Yes." She squeaked lowly as she tried to further convince him that she had just woke up. The male smiled as he stood and walked to the door. Once in the frame, he turned to face the female.

"I'll let you get changed first, your clothes are on the dresser. Once you're done you can find your way to the kitchen. It's the third door on the left." The male then turned his back to the female and left her alone, as he walked out of the room he closed her door so that she could have some privacy.

Hearing the door close with a thud and a clunk, the female flung the sheets off of her and swung her legs over the side of the bed. She stood up with her bare feet pressed against the cold hard floor. She then walked over to the dresser and would get dressed. Taking off her silk white nightgown, she would replace it with an old oversized t-shirt, a pair of grey sweatpants, and pink bunny slippers.

"That's better." She smirked feeling free in her own clothes and walked over to the door, her pink bunny slippers squeaking with each step she took. Gripping the chilled handle of the door, the female turned it slowly as she opened it. Walking out into the hallway, a small breeze from the right of her, blew through her making her hair flow to her left side. Caroline would look to the right of her, and then to the left of her. She would then turn to the right side of her again, as she stared down the long hallway, she tried to remember if it had been the way that the male went down when he left the room. She closed her eyes and tried to remember.

The male had closed the door, but in the crack before the door shut, the male turned to the right. The female then opened her eyes and began to walk down the hallway to the right of the door. Unknown to the female, after closing the door, the male turned to the right before turning to the left and walking down the hallway to the left of the room.

As the female walked down the hallway, she counted the doors and looked at all of the hangings on the walls. Clippings of newspaper articles sat in gold, silver, and bronze frames; some were as old as 90 years old while others were newer, even dated into the future. The female didn't think anything of it, she assumed that it was either fiction or a typo error. As she came to the third door on the left, she turned and faced it. It looked like a normal door, except it had a bright glowing light seeping out from the opening between the bottom of the door and the floor. Taking in a deep breath, the female opened the door. The bright light engulfed her as she stepped into the light, temporarily blinded by the bright light, the female reached out for something to ground her. She came upon a small hard object, when she fiddled with it a booming noise sounded before she vanished in plain sight.
