He pulls up in the same spot as he usually does, not too far away but not close enough to get caught. I get off, taking off my helment and handing it to him as he takes his off."Thank you, Blake. It was...fun." I smile at him and he smiles back. I go to turn but he grabs my hand.
"Shepard." The way he said my name made me want to melt. I turn around and look at his face, his eyes hidden by the dark.
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry about this morning. Um, I shouldn't have done what I did and, um, I'm sorry." He looks awkward and I think this is the first time I've ever seen him like this. It's cute.
"It's fine. You made up for it by taking me out of this place." I smile and I squeeze his hand.
"Are you sure?"
I nod my head. "One hundred percent sure." I let go of his hand and I step back, stuffing my hands in my pockets.
"I'll text you tomorrow, for sure." He smiles, fixing his helment back on.
"Okay." I turn around and walk back to my house. I can't help the smile that spreads across my face.

"Hey Shepard." Vanessa comes running up to me, her hair pulled back in a ponytail. School ended a couple of minutes ago and I was just now getting to my locker.
"Oh hey." I smile at her, and she gives me a small side hug. It wasn't too unusual and I didn't really mind.
"Do you want to hang out tonight?" She leans against the locker beside mine. She didn't seem as she usually is, all happy and childlike.
"Um, sure." I didn't really have any plans this afternoon and I'm sure my parents would let me hang out with her. Plus I don't have any homework. I open my locker and get out my things, only taking what I need.
"Alright, cool! You want to go watch a movie or go out to eat or something?" She closes my locker for me and we both start walking out together.
"Yeah sure. Around 6 or 7?" I hold the door open and she thanks me and walks past me.
"Yup." I see Brandon standing by his car as we walk out and he says something to his friends but I look away before I see their reaction. Vanessa, thankfully, didn't see him.
She unlocks the car and we get in. I buckle up as she starts up the car. She turns up the music and then we're off. Some pop song comes on and I listen to it while looking out the window, thinking about yesterday night.
Usually Vanessa starts a conversation but I guess not this time. I look over at her kind of secretive and she doesn't look happy. But not mad, kind of sad. But before I can ask her what's wrong, she's already pulling into my driveway.
Guess I was daydreaming for a long time. We say our goodbyes and I walk inside my house, hearing her pull out of my driveway. I'll ask her when we go out tonight.
As I'm going up the stairs, I hear Lillian playing her music from her room. And my parents cars weren't in the driveway so it was just me and her.
I just go to my room and kick my shoes off and put my backpack on my desk. I check my phone for any messages but there's none yet. But it's only 3:30 so it's okay, I guess.
I shove my phone into my back pocket and I walk downstairs, thinking about what to fix myself for a snack. As I turn the corner, I see Lillian trying to reach into the cabinet for something. But she's too short.
I walk up over to her, holding back a laugh. "Do you want me to get that for you?" I chuckle.
She screams and turns around and roundhouse kicks me. I wasn't able to dodge it. She hit me in my stomach, making me bend over. Luckily she wasn't that strong so it didn't hurt too bad but it still hurt some.
