Chapter 39: Double Engagement

(A/N: Another one of my school's announcement that mag benefit this story. We may or may not have a 5 months long vacation because of reasons. I will have a lot of time to type chapters by March.)

Tears creep in the corner of your eyes. You can't believe he just did that. He proposed to you. You don't even know what kind of joy your feeling.

"Yes!!" you spoke without thinking and hugged Loki making him loose his balance as you both fell on the floor with you initiating a kiss.

Loki happily obliged to return such affection with as much passion you're giving. Mind on cloud nine, you can't believe what's happening. Loki pulled you closer to him. A hand on the bottom of your cheek, tilting your head a bit.

You both break apart yet your head rested on his with eyes still holding their stare. One last time, you pecked his lips.

"Darling, do me a favor and say those words again." Loki asked and straightened his seat. He seemed as confused and happy as you are. Mind still fazed by each others words.

"Yes, I wanna marry you." You said smiling. He just showed a controlled smile at your widened one as his composure far different from the fireworks being thrown in his heart. He handled his joy better than you did.

"Love the sound, Mortal." He replied and kissed your cheeks before the both of you went to have dinner.

"H-hi,.. Tony.. " You shyly stated as you enter the new avengers facility. Happy is escorting Peter out and you popped in just in time for Pepper to question where Spider-man is.

So, Tony said he turned down the armor and muttered some words Tony would never use. Pepper got angry because she promised the press something big.

"Y/N?" Pepper asked after the whole fiasco of thinking what to say to the paparazzi. You hugged her quickly.

"So, you two are back?" You hopefully asked. Tony can't believe you're there either and went to engulfed you in a fatherly hug. Peter must did a miracle for Tony to be like that.

"You planned a date for us." Pepper replied. "Tony. We still have no announcement."

"Shush. Y/N's here." Tony said, ignoring Pepper. "Let's announce that."

"Are you kidding me?" Pepper's look, looks like he might be done with his boyfriend for good. "You just proposed to me indirectly and we'll announce that!! No offense, Y/N."

"I kinda agree with Pepper, Tony. Stop acting like an idiot." you said making Tony fake a hurt expression. "Why don't you announce that you two are engage?"

"How are you smarter than this guy?" Pepper joked. "Thanks."

Pepper announced it and the press went wild with questions. Tony seemed at ease with all the commotion. He's a pro with raging crowds anyway.

"Mr. Stark, is that woman your adopted daughter, Y/N?" Surprised that someone actually noticed you, Tony gently yanked you upfront but he still yanked you.

"Yes. She is." Tony proudly answered with his head up high saying he looks fabulous.

"Any interesting event in your life, Ms. Stark?" The guy asked. "Any romances blooming?"

"No, but I am engage." You impulsively blabbed making the crowd roar even more. Tony had his jaw on the floor. Pepper can't believe what she heard and Happy pulled you out while someone said the conference is over with a lot of reporters appealing for further questions.

"With whom? How? When did he proposed and when's the wedding?" Tony said simultaneously. Stupid. The cat's out of the bag now.

Announcing your engagement to Loki was the reason why you planned to visit Tony but things got out of hand and now. Tony excused himself to build his own rainbow bridge to Asgard and punch Loki's guts for not telling him.

"You do not get to team with Steve with him saying you were gone and he's raccoon looking friend, who has no idea how to apply eyeliner, being the only one who knows where you are and then pop up shocking me... I'm way too young to have a heart attack!!" Tony exclaimed while Pepper quietly giggled at him.

"Actually, you're too old to not have---" You did plan to joke about that but Tony glared at you, making you shut up with a smile on it's edge to show.

"Uhm,.. Tony. I need to leave." Pepper interrupted. "I am almost due to a meeting. Love you."

After giving Tony as kiss Pepper left with you planning to continue and piss him off.

"Don't you dare." He added.

"Okay but one question before I leave." You grinned innocently. Tony agreed for that one question. "Why did Rhodes reserved a place at that toilet themed diner with your last name as Stank?"

Tony immediately went to excuse himself and went to grab his armor and a phone sending a warning to his best friend, leaving you to die in laughter.
