I sit in the toilet like a loner and a few tear drops roll down my soft skin making their way along side my round nose then stroll down my full pink lips. Minutes later I realize the bell rang for home time a long time ago. I quickly grab my bag and head out the bathroom.

I head down to the gate , Katalia approaches me with a sad look on her dark brown face . "Kay , I'm sorry" she begins "I never meant to say those horrible words to you, I guess I'm just tired of seeing you like this , you use to be so happy and ever since Nathan left you its like you see no reason to enjoy life and since I can't fully return your happiness I just wanted you to move on with another guy , a hot guy , who's way better than Nathan and when I pictured you guys together , you looked perfect"

A small smile erupts on my face "it's ok" I say softly we give each other a warm hug and start walking back home.

"So, why aren't you going to softball practice today" Katalia asks with a bit of concern

"Didn't feel like it" I say looking straight ahead. I could feel Katalia's concerned look on my shoulder . I look down at her since she's shorter than me. She gives me a pitiful smile, I shoot one right back at her. We reach my house and give each other a short hug.

"See ya tomorrow" she says softly

"Yeah see ya tomorrow then" i say , my voice just above a whisper .

I walk up the drive way. Feeling that the atmosphere between my bestfriend and I wasn't amazing. I feel so sad but I know that by tomorrow everything will be fine .

The next morning at school just like I guessed Katalia and I are back to normal. We talk and joke around while sharing lots of mouth-watering junk food. The bell rings and I snatch a blue packet of Doritos from Katalia's hand and run to my next lesson.

I leave Katalia standing there with astonishment on her face. As I run feeling like a champion because of the success of snatching Doritos from my bestfriends hand , I collide into a tall figure with rigid muscles and a strong scent of Brute fragrance. My stolen packet of Doritos spill onto the floor. Some make their way into the pocket of my navy blue school blazer.

Not satisfied with what had happened I look up at the tall figure and say "What the fuck bruuh, stick to your left" rolling my eyes and dramatically throwing the packet of chips since its useless to me now, there were no chips left . "Why should I?" I hear the tall dark skinned guy say.

"Because its the fucken school rules" I say walking away angrily to my next lesson

He must of said something but I didn't even bother  to listen I was irritated.  All my hard work had gone to waste . The day goes by fast and before I know it, it was after school. Katalia was waiting for me already , with a wicked grin on her face.

"Did you enjoy those Doritos?" She asks

"You won't believe what happened " I say

She chuckles and says " I saw everything" . I look at her with a puzzled expression

"I saw you bump into Leo and the chips all came crashing down!" She says laughing loudly.

"Oh my gosh , you saw that!?" I scream feeling embarrassed.  She starts laughing even more then says "you think you're gonna steal my food and get away with it"

"I hate that guy" I say looking angry, " wait how do you know his name?"

Katalia looks at me for a while then says "uuuhhh that's the hot new guy that every girl has been talking about"

I open and shut my mouth, trying to figure out what to say then i finally decide to say "THAT'S THE GUY?!"

"That's the guy" Katalia responds with a fake laugh

I roll my eyes at her. "He is so not in my good books" I say. Katalia gives me a cute puppy dog face and asks "why not?"

"Because he didn't stick to his left and now I didn't eat the delicious Doritos I successfully stole from you " I say acting like a drama queen
"Seriously Kay, Leo did nothing wrong who said you should run across the corridors like a hooligan"

"I wasn't running like a hooligan,  I was tryna get away from you" I say trying to contain my laugh

Katalia shakes her head at me and says "hooligan" with a disgusted look on her face. "Oh whatever, Maurice" I say with a teasing tone.

Katalia starts slapping my back playfully and yells , " shut up!  Shut up!" I start laughing loudly at her reaction .

Maurice is the guy that has been annoying Katalia and asking her out for a long time. The rest of the walk back home is filled with a lot of teasing and laughter.
